A pride parade is celebrating the fact that I no longer have to hide my relationships, I'm gay not a "confirmed bachelor". I don't have to bring a beard to weddings anymore. I don't have to have relationships in underground bathhouses.

Pride is about celebrating people finally treating us like human beings. Showing people that we're proud of who we are and we don't have to pretend anymore.
