I am tired. I'm trying to get my sleep schedule to match a normal person's, so I only got 2 hours of sleep.
In other news I started playing Dark Souls II yesterday and it's really dull. Hopefully it gets better.

I also only got two hours of sleep anon, I know staying up till 2am while trying to fall asleep is rough. I'm just sitting on my porch enjoying the sun. I just finished eating my breakfast out here (some granolla, a cup of tea, and a cup of those generic Naked Juice things) and enjoying the sun. I also didn't really like DS2 that much, it felt really dull and all the combat felt too floaty for me. I hope you get your sleep issues sorted out soon anon

My day is going pretty rotten, OP. I broke up with my girlfriend yesterday despite the fact that I still love her and vice versa. There was just a lot of extraneous bullshit with the relationship that I couldn't deal with anymore. She's staying with her previous ex, and I have to take the last of her stuff to her today. I'm kind of numb at the moment but I'm not sure how I'll hold up seeing her again so soon. Cute fluffy pictures are some help to the mood though, so thanks for those.

I'm really sorry to hear about that anon. I know how rough it can be breaking up with someone you still love and I know a lot of the pain comes later. But for what it's worth anon I'll be here for you. I just always kept the motto of it's not about forcing happiness it's about not letting sadness songs. I hope that helps just a little bit.

Hey there OP. I'm not doing so great today. My brother is FTM and he is dealing with serious mental/emotional issues including suicidal urges that he has tried to act on multiple times. I don't know how to make him better. Meanwhile my mum's boyfriend calls him 'it' and my mum just doesn't say anything at all. It makes me so angry and so tired of trying to make my family 'work', it feels hopeless. Anyway thank you for sharing your artwork here and thank you for this thread as it gives me a place to blog my little heart out about what is upsetting me.

I don't know where else to ask:

I'm really composed and well adjusted and can handle most social situations well but when I'm asleep I have terrible nightmares 90% of the time. I also crunch my teeth and sometimes cry in my sleep. As soon as I wake up I usually have a mini panic attack for about 30s depending on how bad the dream was. After that it's back to normal.

It's making me really self conscious to sleep next to someone because I don't want them to see me like that.

I'm from Ohio but I was just in Washington the other day though. Small world huh? I had a work thing to do in Seattle but I got to sneak off with a friend who lives out there and go to this neat little beach. I think it was called First La Push beach, it had a nice little island off the coast I wanted to explore. It reminded me a lot of Maine, which is another wonderful state.

Well I don't know what's the cause of your problems, I had a bit of education in child psychology but it's not really the same thing and I'm not qualified to make any real guesses but I have some experiences with that. I had an ex-girlfriend who suffered from anxiety and terrible nightmares from some bad things that had happened in her childhood and teenage years. But she actually said it was easier to sleep when I was there with her. But when I wasn't there I'd do things that made her feel nice and secure, kinda like a big warm metaphorical blanket. And what made her fall asleep without nightmares is I'd read her fairy tails over the phone, like Cinderella, Twelve dancing princesses and her favourite Thumbelina. So I can't give you any advice besides my life experiences but maybe having someone else sleeping next to you would help, the heartbeat and body warmth, you know? And even if that doesn't work anon if someone loves you they'll accept that it's something that happens to you and will be there to help you calm down and fall back asleep.

I'm not OP, but that sounds like a shitty time. I know what it feels like to put in more work than your own parents. If you can help your brother feel like the connection between you two is strong, stable and safe that does a lot. Depressed people tend to convince themselves that they're actually entirely alone and unwanted. Just check in with him about mundane things. And if you talk about real shit, grab his arm, look him in the eye and say he's your brother and you're with him. That last bit may be too sappy and specific, but I truly believe it was the key ingredient in calming one of my best friends down a time he was deeply depressed.

I'm very sorry anon, I didn't see your post. But I'm glad someone else was able to help you, probably better than I could. I hope everything works out for your brother. I'll ask my ftm friend for some advice and see what he says. And I'm glad you like the artwork, I wish it was mine but I can't draw that well. It's actually by someone I met who goes by Heather Sketcharoo and she makes lots of cute pictures like that. I just chose them because they were the cutest things on my phone but I think they make a decent persona for these threads. But I really do hope things get better for your brother anon, he's lucky to have a sibling like you to take care of him
