Well, there's a huge difference between someone who was unlucky enough to be born in the 50s or 60s or whenever, and those who "discover" their transgender identity when they're in their mid 40s.

The former are just incredibly unlucky. If they were born in the 90s instead of the 50s/60s/whenever, I guarantee they would transitioned in their 20s at the latest.

The latter... I have absolutely no explanation for. Maybe they had a fetish, their lives went to shit, and then their fetish took over their lives? Who knows.

I think there's also a bigger, more general difference to be drawn between people who "discovered" their transness at an old age and people who always knew it but stayed closeted and tried to just not transition for multiple decades. I've "known" that I'm trans for 10 years now but I still haven't transitioned and never will unless I get to the point where it's truly that or suicide, I could easily see myself not coming out until middle age.

Hons went onto TV and scared kids away from transition, even at trans support sites on the internet, they scared away kids, and discouraged them from transition.
So, there's obviously hard feelings against the hons. Adding to the fuel, those who transitioned in their 20's are still bitter for having lost their shot at a life, all they can to is try to scrap something together.

The early transitioners, and really early transitioners (though, some 16 year olds look like complete hons), get to live their life fairly normally... They'll face hard times, but ultimately, they won't be wrecked by testosterone.
Additionally, we late transitioners (20's), do respect people like Candy Darling, and other of those who transitioned in their 20's, and put effort into transition.

There's a fuck huge difference between somebody who tries their best to transition in their 20's, practically transitioning as soon as they're able to... And hons who didn't want to transition, because they didn't feel much dysphoria, and decided to live as a man.

Yep, sounds about right. I started in my 20s. I got extremely lucky in that puberty didn't hit me too hard (good bone structure, voice is at the absolute upper male range, etc). But damn, am I pissed I didn't start sooner. I wasted so much of my life. I could have gone through high school and college as a girl.

For me, it was the fetishistic nature of many of those sites. Be me, in middle school. I should have been born a girl. Gender identity is female. I stumble upon Laura's Playground. It looks like a "sissy" fetish website (probably because it is). It made me question the legitimacy of my gender dysphoria. It made me terrified of becoming like them. I didn't understand back then that there's a difference between people like me with a female gender identity, and people like them with a fetish.

I mean, just look at how they act post-transition. It's so obvious that for so many of them it's a fetish. People still thinking that 20s is late transitioning, when its actually early by all statistical measurements, and the average age of transitioning is going up (its currently in the mid to late 30s, if I remember correctly. 20s, especially early twenties, is still by and large on the young age of the spectrum, those who transitioned at that age will be outnumbered by older transitioners for decades to come. As trans becomes more accepted in society, we will see even more older people transitioning.

Trans acceptance is just barely getting off the ground, and there's people in their 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, etc who have repressed for years/decades that are going to be coming out and transitioning in the coming years. The average age will probably hold steady in the mid-late 30s, or possibly even go slightly higher. It's going to take a while for all of the repressed trans people to get "cleared out of the system" so to speak.

I think many people here have a warped idea of what constitutes old and young transitioners because people in their teens and 20s are the vast majority of the people on this board.

I had pretty much no discernible trans feelings all throughout my childhood, high school, etc and only started falling apart in my gender around age 18. My personality was just a loner guy who is kind of spergy and a little creepy. I only realized I wanted to be a girl at age 20, after months of internal debate (I made sure I did it for entirely physical dysphoria reasons) I took mones. That was 3 years ago.

I'm now semi qt, still spergy, I don't pass upon close inspection but I haven't been casually 'sir'd' in a long time in andromode. I have more of a personality now and my friends have always said I seem really girly, ex bf's Christian mom has said it seems like I'm a woman with a disability, etc. On the other hand, some methheads I hung around with once said I give off masculine vibes and seem deeply insecure.
