I have Muslim friends and I have Christian friends. I have no Muslims who have told me they hate me for my sexuality, and plenty of Christians. I think that probably applies to lots of gays in the West, simply because until recently most of us didn't know any Muslims but we knew lots of bigoted Christians. That will change, and I'm sure they'll learn to hate the Muslims like they hate the Christians now.

Also, the Muslims I know that are cool with me being gay are all Persian, which makes sense to me. They haven't quite forgotten that they're not really Muslim.

These are Muslims from Pakistan, Bangladesh, (a fair few from Iran and Egypt), and even second/third generation in the UK. I've noticed that second/third generation Muslims born over here are much more homophobic and frankly terrifying than the first generation immigrants.
