MRAs have some merit, if they weren't so extreme / obsessed with counteracting some feminist boogeyman. Men and women both deal with a lot of unfair shit in society, and I think it would be nice to have a sane group that can address the male side of that issue. (Of course, I'm not saying feminism isn't just as extreme these days)

As for GG, yeah, they're just a bunch of manchildren. They don't seem to realize that LGBT themes in video games were heavily censored for the longest time. Now that developers have more creative freedom, suddenly /v/ is thinks faggots and trannies are invading "their" hobby? There have been LGBT gamers and developers ever since the advent of video games came about. We've just been squelched by censorship policies all this time.

It was the same thing with other forms of media, really. I remember reading an article about how comic books ratings boards explicitly forbade writers from touching down on LGBT themes in their comics, otherwise it would be nigh impossible for them to find a publisher, let alone be stocked by any major retailers. Now that the ratings boards have loosened up, we're seeing an influx of such characters in comics.

People who sleep around are less likely to find someone to put up with them when they lose all their sexual value which means we'll have a society of spinsters who don't have positive male role models. Stable families mean stable lifestyles and lower incidence of high risk activities.

Capitalism does have its positives, but that doesn't mean it's the ultimate economic system.

Better to live under Communism where the necessities of life are guaranteed, as opposed to living in a capitalist country where you have """freedoms""" but are forced to starve or freeze to death if you don't have enough money. And most of the issues you point out are ultimately due to the political nature of such countries (dictatorships), rather than the economic system of Communism. You wouldn't have that issue in a democratic communist/socialist society.

Anyone can reproduce but we need to be k-focused about this, not r focused. Quality people coming from quality families who care for their offspring, not overworked single moms and burnt out dads who can't afford the child care payments and gets sent to prison.

It's fine if we lower reproduction to match our carrying capacity as a society, but that just means that means that with less kids, there needs to be a greater focus on raising them properly.

Not everyone has those opportunities though. Like, what if getting a job requires an education? You need money for that, and to get money you need a job. Sure, you might be able to start with low-paying jobs and save up enough money to get an education. But what if someone is physically disabled? Even getting to a job would be difficult, and the number of minimum-wage jobs they'd be able to do is severely limited. What are they supposed to do?

Any LGBT person who thinks the Alt-Right has any place for them is kidding themselves. I won't say that Liberalism is perfect and Islam scares the fuck out of me but the classical right has no place for homosexuals or transgender people because of its ties to Christianity and the alt-right is literally just a pseudonym for neo-nazism which has no place for LGBT folk because they see us as degenerates who must be purged. Just read the Daily Stormer to see this, they had an article not long ago about the rise of the "gay alt right".

I'm not marginalized. My prime minister is openly a pro gay rights feminist and he still got elected. Everyone I know here in Canada is pro gay rights.
I support gamergate, but I don't see how video games have anything to do with anything.
Men's right activist are often a bit extreme, but they do actually raise good points.

It was a "straw that broke the camels back" type event. Lots of overlapping cultural industries (comics, sci-fi, gaming, etc.) had been becoming increasingly politicized and corrupt with practically zero resistance from the fans. Gamer Gate was when the fans started to resist, got a lot of momentum, and finally started pushing back. It's not that big of a deal in my mind; it mostly only has symbolic significance.
