This desu. I definitely feel that trans people deserve support and acceptance of their condition, but it's a bit tricky to include T in LGBT, particularly when trying to build rapport with those who are not-yet involved.

The way it's written out, is indirectly re-enforcing the common misconception that being trans is somehow tied into one's sexuality, or even an alternative way to be "gay."

It's one thing if this belief is held by people that believe being LGBT is a choice (as it'd be a lost cause from the start,) but most of the stupid shit I've heard was from people that acknowledged that being LGB wasn't a choice, but saw T as an option for "serious" folks
