Depends on the era, every major conflict has its own plane that was a cut above. Assuming ww2:
The spitfire and mustang were both pretty crazy, the fact that the mustang could reach transonic speeds (and usually crashed as a result) was pretty mind boggling for the time. Then there was the bf-109, its propeller was so big and had so much torque that jamming the throttle on the ground could flip them right over. Idk, there's more planes from the era that I like, but those are the fighters that have some romance around them. I at least sort of understand the romance around planes, pilots had balls of steel, and they're basically the modern equivalent of knights in the air. Tanks or guns don't make any sense to me though.

Idk if the type exists outside of germany, its essentially a collection of sessions that arent connected directly but count as one class. everyone can attend but you need to be at least halfway through your masters to get points for it. its pretty highlevel, usually like 2-6 profs are present, a few phd havers, a few PHD candidates and about half are peasants like me (e.g. pretty close to masters students)
