Dae straight cis male who envies gay people?

I've read some posts in which have been made a similar claim, but mostly for different reasons, like wanting a partner who can also be a best bro. But its not like that for me.

I'm a quiet guy who doesn't really talk much or feel the need to lead in social situations, which is apparently a huge turnoff for women. I can't help but think that if I signed up on a dating site looking for men that I'd have better chances of finding a relationship without having to lie through my teeth on the "about" section of my profile.

Anyway I have fun hanging out on /lgbt/ because in some ways I feel like everybody here is a bit of an outcast in the sense that you don't conform to the hypermasculine-impulsive-prick-guy narcissistic-superficial-girl narrative. I guess I relate to it.

What, you have your problem times two as a gay guy. There are more extremes to fit into, more beauty standards that you wouldn't fit into, people not wanting to settle down and just looking for sex where things has to be absolute perfect in either direction with the smallest defect making you isolated from sexual contact. Be glad you're straight.

I'm a lot like you from what I can tell, I'm pretty quiet and reserved, there are girls out there who find that attractive, I've had a couple flirt with me actually. It's just a waiting game, as long as you're actually social at parties and in groups and stuff you've got a chance.
