I'm pretty sure it's not a fad, and we're just seeing numbers closer to reality than we've been working with before. Especially the emergence of NB trans persons in numbers does much to make sense of what neurological evidence for trans people exists. I can't speak for everyone else; but I was raised in a very Christian home where I was told to repress everything about myself and only recently realized I was repressing myself by not allowing myself to even consider the possibility considering that since I was 4 I felt like I wanted to be a girl, I don't get aroused by watching normal porn, and the stuff I liked to read was all Litorodica where men changed into women. So I finally accepted it might be the case, and I really, really, don't want it to be the case because of all the bullshit those with gender dyphoria have to deal with. Unfortunately even my friend of 10 years remembers me asking very odd questions about gender and similar things that most people wouldn't ask them.

Told my friend who came out as trans a few years ago and they said it made sense because I asked them very specific questions when I came out to them and they always thought it was weird that I was the only one that asked them those questions and that I asked questions that only someone who was going through something similar probably would have asked.

I am becoming okay with the idea, but it's a bit like part of me wants to go back into hiding and just reject that there is an issue. I think this might be because the majority of the people I know will probably reject me and no longer talk to me including my family. I am still going to go to a therapist actually 4 of them because again I REALLY, REALLY, do not want this to be the case and honestly I don't know what I plan on doing about it if I do have the issue.

I can out as trans because I hated living as a beta male. I basically forced myself to be more attracted to men over time with sissy hypno and BBC hypno vids. It's been 2 years since I've come out and my life is a hell of a lot better now. I have posted my transition timeline on this board before and most people agree that I'm passable.

If you feel like you should be the other sex, you have a mental disorder known as gender dysphoria, another variant of disassociative disorder, where one feels they should be something else other than what they actually are.

If it's just a fad, then you don't suffer real dysphoria, and this usually means you want to keep your dick and are fine with that.

Why would there be people who don't apply male or female to themselves, other than intersex people? Male and female aren't genders, they are sexes. Except for fairly rare cases, either you're physically male or you're physically female. Unless you're experiencing literal dysphoria from your body there's nothing abnormal about you. Some people might treat you badly if you defy gendered expectations but that doesn't mean you're innately special. Gender identification shouldn't even be a thing honestly, it doesn't even matter at all.

I don't get why this third gender/non-binary stuff is made so complicated. Differentiating sex and gender, it's nonsense.

You're born male or female, period. Gender dysphoria will make you feel like you were born in the wrong gender. HRT and cosmetic surgery exists to help this, but you will never ever be a female. At the end of the day a biological male trans woman is not a female, but we don't check chromosomes before socially interacting with eachother.

Humanity has evolved to a point where we are intelligent enough to treat somebody as whatever gender they chose to associate with. It really makes no difference whether or not it's true.

Society treats me as a girl, I live as a girl, I look like a girl, I act (mostly) like a girl, but I'm not one and I never will be. But c'est la vie, who cares?
