So I'm a 30 year old trans girl who transitioned 4 years ago. Earlier this year I moved from my long time home that I lived in (area not house) since I was 13.

Recently I left my job. I had my life threatened at work and nothing was done about it, so I quit.

Since leaving my job, I've kind of fallen back onto a lot of depression habits I've had over the years. I just feel so completely lost when I'm not with my gf.

The thing is since moving to Seattle, she is literally all I have here. I don't have any real serious friends (don't get me wrong I've made a few, but I don't have any who are close that I spend lots of time with) I don't have a job, and frankly I don't have the motivation to do anything. This "why bother" attitude has sunk in very seriously and I really don't know how to beat it.

I miss so much of what I had where I used to live and I have no idea how to get that here. I'm alone 75% of the day and I can barely function this way. I get all my energy from friends and positive interaction with people, but I don't have any of that anymore. I'm really scared cause I don't know how to pull myself out of this, and my thoughts are only getting darker. I need help.

I was extremely homesick and went back on thanksgiving, everything just felt so.... right again.
I am at a loss, I don't want to leave my partner because it's the best it's been with someone in a long time but at the same time I can't even leave our house alone without getting panic attacks. The area isn't as liberal, I don't feel as safe, I can't even just talk walks like before. I told my partner all of this and we both decided I should find a therapist to talk to, which I'm going to do very soon.
I'd say find some friends here, have a chat, get a therapist and work your way back to a job and maybe you'll find closer friends irl with time.
I feel as if I try to rush things too often, like I want things to be like they were back home but I forget how long it took for things to be the way they were and I've only been in the place for a couple of months now.

Making rl friends is gonna be hard without any money. Try meetup, board game nights at hobby stores, stuff like that. Normally I would suggest things like classes or clubs but those costs money. Also, if you need a part time job right now just to make ends meet you don't have to put it on your resume. You're going to have a gap there if you don't have a job anyway.

So I went out full girl mode today for the first time since I abandoned going out in public like this at 16. Besides pretending to be mute it worked out okay. I got a strange look or two and there was this chick that was eyeballing me in a negative way but I feel good. People didn't laugh or say anything mean like I was expecting them to.
