ITT- Cartridges you wish existed. I'll start:
>.40 S&W necked to .30-.27 caliber with .22 saboted bullet
>5.56 performance in any common handgun/PDW
Sabots are underrated.
something like a 17. hmr or 22. but the casing is a thicker, but smaller than a 9mm and has a case thats as long as a 7.62x39 and a bullet that's as thick as the case so a thin but long round so you can stack them deep in a magazine without sacrificing powder but the round is still a lower power round but high velocity.

You probably wouldn't get the same velocity due to the barrel lengths of pistols. Might not be as effective as you'd hope.

A 4 foot long bullet that like shoots by itself you could just hold it under your arm and hold a Bic to it and book it's off to the races I think it would go about 5000 feet per second if I have my math right because 4 pounds of bullet with a lot of gunpowder would launch pretty far but it's not a missed or whatever just a big bullet I think that's what it would be called big bullet and it would be used primarily for self defense and it would come with a custom bag that looked like a purse or backpack but really it's a carrying case but it could also be used to siege like your neighbors house because it would be able to knock down a wall 10x10 feet like a tank round but again no explosion just metal
.223 casing with a .30cal bullet, sort of like an AR/AK hybrid
>5.56 performance in any common handgun/PDW
Yeah it’s called 7.62 x 25, or if you are rich get an FN Five SeveN

.223 Timbs, the picture in OP pushes a 50 grain .22 bullet to 2000 FPS from a 5" barrel. One of the best advantages to sabots is their effectiveness in short barrels. Just as a comparison of potential power, 7.62 Tok gets 1500-1600 FPS with an 85 grain bullet, while .357 Sig pushes 90 grains to 1900 FPS. So that's almost 30% more power, it'd likely push the same 50 grain bullet to over 2500 FPS. That's a little more power than a 5.45 with an 8" barrel, but let's just say they'd be about the same. So you're right, it wouldn't be as powerful, however with careful bullet selection you could still get effective fragmentation out of it, and a short barreled carbine would likely see velocities over 2800 FPS.

That's enough meth for tonight, Cletus.

You mean .300Blackout?
>>35191062
Oh, you mean .224BOZ ?
>>35191871
I'd like to see the sound and flash signature of that as well as the lifespan of the barrels.
>>35191373
It sounds like an extremely retarded modern take on a handgonne.

7.62x25 is a necked down 5.56x54 casing. They are interchangeable but requires camphor of the thicker 5.56 brass. Its a good choice for prepping as the pistol can use the dented brass from your rifle. If you can get your hands on Russian surplus it is loaded hot for the PPSH sub machine gun. It also has a steel core bullet not officially armour piercing because they also made a specific round for that purpose. The regular surplus round is more than capable of defeating level IIIa soft armour. That is why it has been banned for import into America but freely available to Canadians.
I just want a modern handgun in 7.62tokarev.

Dominion arms sells a sig copy in
P762

It'd be a lot quieter than 5.56, that's for sure, less unburnt powder and lower pressure. That lower pressure also makes barrel life a non-issue.
>>35193325
In Canada only, I want it here and made by Sig as well as 1911 makers.

I want one that I can get in freedom land.
