If we go by 1985 standards that's $29,089.93 in today's dollars, so he's making a return on his investment as long as he sells for $30k or more. I really do think that the WA2000 is the quintessential meme gun. People always point to the Desert Eagle or SPAS 12, but at the very least they fill their niche well with little serious competition (gas operated magnum pistol, shotgun that is both pump and semi), whereas the Walther is just an MOA semi auto, which is basically nothing in this day an age. Literally just fawned over because of video games.
