They are nothing alike.

Trijicon hd's don't have the rounded rear sight like the x-ray, they have too much air around the front post and aren't as accurate. HD's are just fast acquisition sights but I'm going for accuracy but want it to double as edc.

The 509 feels like a refined gun but there are things about it that bother me:
1. The only department to adopt it is Brinks (a.k.a. rent a cops)
2. It's literally just he internals of their old compact thrown into a larger frame and given a new name.
3. FNH is a weird ass company that used to require their guns be serviced frequently or else they don't honor the warranty. I actually called them about this after reading it in their owners manual and the woman said, "Some people leave their guns in the safe for a long time and the oil congeals and then the gun doesn't work and they expect us to fix it."
