Well, its not a noticeable amount of time, but the actions of the G11 and an-94 can cycle before the first bullet exits the barrel.

What op seems to want is a gun that has a barrel so long that normal rounds almost squib, or a gun that, somehow, fires, then gives him time to adjust his aim after the recoil before the shot actually goes off. Which doesn't exist.

Maybe it could be built by having two separate feed mechanisms for bullets and a blank cartridge. You fire the blank, which expells its gas into a large chamber behind the bullet, and then, on release of the trigger or something a valve behind the bullet lets the gas force the bullet out. Sort of like an airgun that stores its air in the form of gunpowder. This is also stupid.

Very heavy piston, which means the impulse hits your shoulder a lot later than the bullet goes out the front. This also means it's a very gradual impulse, which is probably what you're looking for.

I think the only time you'll find this effect is in a gyrojet. I deleted any of the images I have of those so you could google them as well as I could. There are a few examples in carbine/rifle format I've seen in photos only ever seen collector owned pictures of pistol versions.

They're not explosive tho the fuel charge is just to propel them, don't know what the recoil is like it's suppose to be less than a firearm it's just to guide it but it launches like a RPG and gains speed as it travels away. The concept could of probably got saved if the accuracy stuff got worked out and they turned them into tiny RPG rounds imo.

Recoil is mostly caused by the gas exiting the barrel, so that would be impossible.

Not noticeable, but a spring piston airgun recoils and reverse-recoils before the pellet leaves the barrel. That's why multi pumps and PCPs are better.
