What can we do as a community to promote and evangelize the true high performance alternative to 9mm?

t. Only have 9mm due to cheap ammo but really want to see it take off
>>
Honestly .357 Sig isn't that bad but it'll never replace .40 or 9mm, despite being better than .40 in almost every aspect. I long for the day when .40 short and weak is replaced by the 10mm master race.
>>
>>35141319
Ain't going to happen due to government-mandated shoehorning of women and fuccbois into law enforcement.

Meanwhile 357 Sig is comparable to 9mm in recoil, packs much superior ballistics, and the bottleneck shape makes it inherently more reliable omg I can't stop cumming.

I think we need Glock or whoever to release something that will bolice departments excited en masse to get the ball rolling.
>>
>>35141241
10mm needs a resurgence. sig and underwood 10mm, not 40 short and weak 10mm okay?

Why pick the shitty version
>>
>>35141424
You mean the Glock 31 and 32?
Also Glock 22 and 23 conversion barrels. Fuck, I have a 23, I should get one.
>>
>>35141241
Convince Ruger that it will sell, like was done with 327 magnum, 44 special and 10mm.

If ruger isn't making guns in it, it isn't going to happen. They are leading the industry as far as mass production right now.
>>
>>35141448
i used to be a 9mm poorfag, now i'm all about that 10mm like this anon. >>35141442
>>
>>35141424
I mean I'd bust a nut over an M&P 2.0 in .357 Sig, so yeah, there's probably a market. It's also not like you have to change many components, just use different barrels on .40 production lines.
>>
.357 sig should replace the .40. god i hate that cartridge.
>>
>>35141442
This cunt gets it. 10mm master race. Otherwise if you insist on 9mm, go for 9x25 Dillon.
>>
>>35141467
sig was/is making sp 2022s in .357 sig. that would be pretty kickass. i would cream my boishorts for a sp2022 or a mark 23/usp in 10mm.
>>
>>35141483
9x18 you fucking nignog, if you're gonna go small go really small.
>>
>>35141424
>>35141467
>>35141474
.357sig is good an all, but it will always be more expensive due to being a necked down cartridge since it requires an extra manufacturing step.
>>
>>35141494
22lr brah if you're gonna go small go small
>>
>>35141493
Ugh, yeah, I have an SP2022 in 40, been looking for a 357 sig barrel forever. Last time I found some they didn't have the LCI cut and mine has the LCI, of course.
>>
>>35141505
>not using 22 short single shot 2 inch barrel fud guns for life defense
you are like a little babby
>>
>>35141508
Also, any sig already in 40 probably has a 357 sig barrel swap option. P226, P229, P239 (sexytiem), etc.
>>
>>35141508
all 40s should be 10mms. we have women to thank for that. ruining the fbi master race 10mm standard issue because their puny little woman hands.
>>
>>35141467
It will never happen, the gen 1s had cracked frames after about 800 rounds so they discontinued them. If someone like Ruger made a 357 version of the American then they would actually sell them.
>>
>>35141533
Pretty sure you have just as many soft-wristed, male desk jockeys to thank for that, as well.
>>
>>35141498
Explain how I can get brass cased .223 for 33 cents/round

It's all about economies of scale. The bottleneck is nothing to a major manufacturer if they decide that the market can justify the tooling expenses for more production.
>>
>>35141241
My local pd uses .357 sig. they don't like it.
>>
>>35141793
Yes, that's a factor as well. One of many that go into cost. Even if you wind up producing .357 as much as .40 in it's heyday, it would still be a couple cents more per round because of increased manufacturing was my point.
>>
>>35141829
Why not?
>>
>>35141870
weak wrists
>>
>>35141892
Ha! Gaaaay!
>>
>>35141241
.38 SUPER!
>>
>>35141870
From what I gathered they thought it was over kill. Especially for this area. Low violent crime rate and 99% of them have never and will never fire their weapon.
>>
>>35141533
Eh, 10mm special is pretty nice. Besides, your statement is fairly retarded due to the high chance that you don't even own a 10mm, nor CC one
>>
>>35141494
So a diameter physically larger than 9x19 or 9x25
>>
>>35141241
Buy .22 tcm
>>
^ Hand load a .22 TCM with FMJ bullets and the right amt of powder and you have yourself a true AP handgun round.

Fire it from a 16 inch barrel and you're in the AR-15 velocity zone.

Just imagine the possibilities like Arcane or teflon-steel rounds.
>>
>>35141793
If you can convince all nato forces to carry it then sure. But that's a pretty big step.
