Hey /k/, so I legally came into ownership of a ruger p85 in Minnesota. I am 18, and not yet 21. I was just wondering whether or not anyone will actually sell me 9mm ammo. From what I've read it's illegal for them to sell it to me if I tell them it's for the handgun, but as I said, I legally own the handgun...
Any clarification? I was told to just say it's for a carbine but don't know whether that's legal or works.

Legally it's ok, some places don't know or want to "risk" it. If anyone cares, as you said say it's for a carbine.

tell em it's for your rifle, better yet, learn to reload, then you have more ammo at a lower price. Your home made ammo will shoot more to your liking
