Are the odds of a semi automatic malfunctioning high enough that I should be concerned and make it a factor in what i buy for CC?
I want to buy a reliable pocket gun for $300
Not if you get a Glock

That's a funny way of spelling USP45
>>35130095
It's gun dependant, one revolver will out preform one semi automatic pistol that will out preform another revolver that will under preform another pistol that will out preform a taurus...
You can't generalize these things.

Sexy USP
>>35130095
If it cost more than $400 new, no.
>>35130184
Thanks, it's a first year of production .45, and my EDC

I like the older USPs. Just something about them.

>1995
>1995 frame assembled in 1996
>2001
I love all of them, taking the stainless USP9 to my state steel challenge championship on the 29th

I dunked a gun in a river. Not intentionally, my fucking buddy I was hunting with pulled the canoe up to shore as I was standing up. It was like 20 degrees outside, I had to walk a mile back to my house because hypothermia was starting in, but I digress.
What I want to say is a semi is almost always going to fire the round loaded in chamber. What it won't do is properly cycle your next round. So, a muddied semi will fire, once.
>>35130366
That depends on how muddy your hammer/striker area is too. It may not fire at all.
>>35130379
A revolver will fail harder and sooner.

you're the reason racism exists
>>35130095
With modern handguns, malfunctions are a rare occurrence that is negated by high-pressure high-velocity ammunition (more recoil=more slide velocity=fewer malfunctions unless shitty magazines are present)
Buy whatever you want and make sure you have quality mags.

These people are shills.
They are also stupid.
If you like either of those guns, get one.
But don't do it because some fucking retard told you to.
Oh, also, if you prefer revolvers, just get one.
They're fun, and mall ninjas should not rule your life choices.
