I had a chance last year to put about a 100 rounds through it at a military shoot day. I'm actually not impressed with that I feel like bastardizing the M14 wood stocks did not benefit the feel and capability of this gun anyway.

I work on them all the time, and I even met the guy who designed them, it was awkwardd listening to him explain why his design was so great becasue the only good thing that I have heard from the field and using it myself is that it is lighter than a standard m14, also

If you want a DMR, the M14 variants are not for you at all. Those things are NOT going to fulfill the accuracy requirements that you expect out of a DMR. Seriously man, you'd be much better off building a nice AR-10 with the amount you'd spend on that inaccurate garbage

it makes sense for precision or competition stocks, but i think that the civilian market went a little overboard on the muh DoD memery so larpers and airsoft faggots who think its the most tacticool stock ever. A.I. chassis are about the same in price, but they arent ridiculous like the EBR, also the amount of disassembly to field strip the weapon is ridiculous, and having to re-torque all of the screws on the upper hand guard is not a plus. field stripping a regular m14 is way easier by comparison

I won't pretend to have a bunch of experience with it, only shot a friend's that he occasionally brings to the range and only from the bench or prone. He takes really good care of his and I've only shot it with his match-grade handloads, so the accuracy I've gotten out of it was superb. No idea how much of a pain it is, but everyone says it's a pain to strip for even a basic cleaning. When moving between the bench and ground with it, the thing is front heavy as hell, it feels much more unwieldy than a basic m14/m1a. Overall I'm not really sure if it would be worth it for you. If you just want it as a toy then go for it, but if you just want a relatively accurate DMR-type rifle you might be better off looking at other options.
