Yeah not nearly as fast as 1911s do. Sorry but unless you're willing to drop a large chunk of change into a 1911 don't expect much from it lad. I recommend a solid 9mm for starters. ammos a lot cheaper, recoils less, easier to learn and teach on. alround pretty good

Right now ARs are cheap as fuck. If you are new to guns, it's easy to learn on.

If you want a handgun, get a CZ 75 or CZ 75 SP-01 instead of a 1911. Higher capacity and 9mm is more affordable. And those are steel frame like the 1911.

nigger why doesn't any military around the world use 1911s and I'm not an expert. 1911s have a steel frame and do beat them selves to death with hotter ammo. not like you'll be running hot ammo all the time but it's still an issue. Ask anyone who shoots 1911s and they'll tell you, 1911s aren't a gun that you can just cheaply mass produce like other guns like Glocks and HKs. I was like you and wanted one too.
