You guys ever heard of a reputable pistol ever firing when using the decocker?

My M9 was subject to a recall of sorts when I was in Afghanistan. They had to send an armorer around to check all our M9's because they were firing when decocked.

ecks dee
That's a sticky situation for everyone involved!

Define "reputable"
The decocker on my Polish P-64 has set off a round in the chamber, needless to say I don't even put it on safe anymore, I can just jam the safety halfway between "Safe" and "Fire" and it works well enough

He means a new gun, that makes use of modern production techniques, that comes with a warranty, that he can buy at a gun store, that isn't Saturday Night Special or Taurus tier. Your Cold War era pistol doesn't fall into that category for a lot of reasons.
OP, there was a long thread on the HK Pro forum about a P30 that some guy alleged did that, but he was never able to repeat the issue, his story was pretty shaky (he probably had his finger on the trigger like a retard), and the two times he sent it in to HK, they concluded that there was nothing wrong with the gun.

I leave my 92S with the safety engaged. You can squeeze the trigger all you want and it won't engage the hammer. It's tight desu.

That isn't what he means. He means firing from the hammer falling during the decocking action.

Taurus, Beretta, and Slav milsurps only.
Never heard of a Walter, Sig, or CZ doing it.
