With unlimited funds, probably a 10mm custom designed to take most glock aftermarket but be a DA/SA. -you are only given funds to buy the gun. Not to feed, maintain and fix it.
-it must be your primary carry gun. You need to carry it. If you want to throw on a pocket pistol or you can't carry it that's one thing, but you need this gun for carry purposes
-if it does break or get stolen you won't get another one.

I'd get a thin slide 4 or 5" barrel 10mm with a decent grip. One that I could carry cocked and locked.
Think of a not quite single stack Glock 20 or a chopped down sig220 with a staggered magazine in SAO configuration.

Basically, I'm saying a concealable and relatively comfy gun that could drop a black bear. That's what I want. I paper thin .44mag might also be cool but when I e-mailed my drawing to kel-tec they said that people would just cry about the recoil.

I like my Ameriglo Pro I Dots but I wouldn't mind something with a slightly thinner front sight post.

I have also replaced the standard connector with an OEM - and replaced the trigger return spring with an olive NY1 for a trigger pull I like better and greater reliability in theory.

I'd be fine with a Gen5 as well, with the replication of the Glock 43 trigger that incorporates certain aspects of a New York style spring.
