I've never shot a shotgun before, but I want to change that. What's the best 12 gauge under 400? What sort of grip is best?
SXP is a decent budget shotgun. Probably the fastest/slicket action of any pump action shotgun.
Otherwise, used 870 from up until the 90s, put on a Houge overmolded set

Ithaca 37

I like the mp153 hate on me all you want. Great gun takes anuthing up to super mag, comes with chokes, patterns well, shoots doe loads to slug without adjustment, cycles well and has never once failed. Love it. Great working gun

not pistol regular full stock is best
>>35088152
Yeee
>>35088371
Pistol grip is fun though
Get an SAS12, live dangerously.

Pistol grips on shotguns are for niggers
Benelli Novas can be had forgotten that price, they're nice but I don't know if you wanna spend 4 hundie on a twelve gauge though.

Nothing wrong with having options, friend :)

Police folders never had extensions.
Yes, you will find pictures with them added.
They were never made that way.
Mossberg shockwave

>LEO top folder
>No factory remington extension or barrel clamp
fixed since I cannot into spelling

They just look wrong with the standard short tube.

Man, the Ithaca 37's aesthetics just confuse me. It looks so good, but the absence of an ejection port just seems off. Like a really hot chick who doesn't have any eyes.
>>35090256
They didn't come with extensions and they look stupid with them, why would you assume it's supposed to have them?
You're expressing an opinion (and a dumb one at that), not correcting a flaw.

>They didn't come with extensions
When I say factory, I am saying the official remington parts, not factory attached.
>they look stupid with them
them is fighting words
Have you any idea what you're looking for in your shotgun?
Semi-auto, over-under, side-by-side, pump action?
I'll vouch for the Benelli Nova, at least - Rock solid shotgun, that one.
Double barrels can be expensive if you buy quality (Italian or English), but all snobbery aside, a Russian Baikal will be very affordable and reliably go boom every time you pull the trigger, as long as there's anything in the chamber to go boom with.
Semi-autos, you can have a gorillion Turkish shotguns on the cheap, but if you want to make an "investment", consider the Franchi Affinity - Bar a few minor details, it's for most intents and purposes identical to the Benelli M2, which is significantly more expensive.

This or the shotgun it's derived from, the Winchester 1300. If they're worn in enough, the action will (safely, because rotating bolt) open immediately after firing, so you're basically only needing to push the pump forward
