Enfields are thrice the rifle for the same price for itself, ammo, and accessories.

Not a "target" rifle but yugo mausers are very nice for the price.
>>

this

I bought a 24/47 a couple years ago and it shoots and cycles like a dream. I love that thing.
>>
>>35073398
1916 spanish mausers still cheap and fun to shoot. reloading is mandatory tho.

50 maplebucks a box at lgs

Look, I think maybe guns just aren't for you. They actually cost money, as does the ammunition and related equipment. If you don't have a job, or mommy doesn't give you enough allowance, this really isn't your hobby.

>"OMG milsurp got more expensive when the surplus ran out!"
>"I was used to them being $90, so in my mind that's all they are worth!"
>"I have literally no concept of supply and demand!"

If people pay $250, then they are worth $250.
This shit isn't even hard, how do you not understand it?
>>
>>35073398
Can you be more specific? Do you want irons, must it have wood, what caliber are you looking for?

I'm debating a T/C Compass in .223 and a red-dot. Cheap ammo, useful caliber, accurate and cheap rifle. Can be had after MIR for less than $200
>>
>>35077081
The quality and performance does not justify the price. It is not worth $250 to anyone but a collector willing to stomach the inflated cost of a shitty rifle useful for nothing more than being a wall hanger compared to literally anything else in that price range.

>The quality and performance does not justify the price
But the scarcity of the mosin does justify the price. That's what price is after all, an indicator of the scarcity of a good.

For $250 you get a full power rifle caliber rifle that has a reliable action, decent sights, and inexpensive ammo. Even if it was the exact same gun but with no military surplus history it would be a good gun for $250.

Not that anon btw.

>>35077291
>The quality and performance does not justify the price.
A lot of people disagree with you, which is why it's $250.

The mental gymnastics you're doing to justify your poorfaggotry are the real story here. That's what's keeping me coming back to this thread.

Give me one fucking reason to spend $250 on a Mosin versus $250 on a Yugo M48.
You can't.
>>
>>35076948
>nugget auctions starting at 25€ over here
Okay - what do they end at? Because that's really all that actually matters.
>>
>>35073398
So, OP - are you asking for a target rifle that's also a milsurp, or do you just want any target rifle, milsurp or not?

If the second, then get a Savage Axis or Ruger American Rifle. Both are available in the $300-400 range new, and some come in combos with an included scope. In the end, they'll actually be a cheaper option if you get them in a common hunting caliber like .308, which means your total cost of ownership will be lower than a milsurp once you figure in the much cheaper ammo.

If you want super cheap, you could go with a single-shot CVA Hunter in .243, which is a budget gun, but still surprisingly accurate. They average around $200, but I've seen them as low as $179 (at Academy). Pair it with a Nikon Buckmasters II scope ($100 at Amazon), and you have a perfectly respectable target/hunting rifle for under $300

>Give me one fucking reason to spend $250 on a Mosin versus $250 on a Yugo M48.
That's not how antique collecting goes, anon. Nobody buys antiques for performance - that's just stupid. Milsurp rifles are antiques and the only people who should buy them are collectors. If you have $250 and you want performance, put out a hat and tap dance on the streetcorner until you've raised enough extra money to buy a Savage Axis.
>>
>>35073398
But a Swiss vetterli. They cost less that the nugget
>>
>>35077334
Pretty much. People talk about the price of milsurp guns here the same way my grandma talks about the price of movie tickets. Sorry, there's no law of the universe that says milsurp rifles have to be cheap, just like there isn't one that says movies have to cost a quarter and get you a double feature, a newsreel, and a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

At least grandma has the excuse of being 95 years old. What we have here is just a bunch of butthurt poorfags.

Holy shit roll out the red carpet and load up the palanquin, Anon over here has a whole two thousand dollars to spend
