Convince me not to sell this gun, /k/.
It's my first and only handgun, but I need the money and I rarely ever have time to shoot it.
What do?
>>35062518
You'll regret it
every gun guy I know does
>>35062518
Rob someone with it. How much money do you need?
honestly there are better guns out there you should sell it and experience something new and different to expand your experience in firearms.
Or you can keep it just to have it in your library of firearms. It depends on where you are in terms of firearms/working with firearms. If it benefits you then I would hold onto it.
>>35062518
If someone breaks in what will you shoot them with?
>>35063299
This. I mean if you need money sell something else. You have blood, right?
>>35063356
To be fair the Security Six is a damn good revolver. Also OP will never get what he paid or even what he wants for the gun and you'll very likely regret selling it. Just got donate a big jug of body fluids, someone is bound to want those previous things.
>>35062518
Dont sell it. You will regret it. That is an excellent revolver that will be an heirloom if you dont pawn it off to pay bills or whatever. I regret every gun i've sold, even the shitty sub $200 ones. That gun is no longer manufactured, and you WILL want it back and you wont be able to find one for the price you bought it.
Keep your gun OP. Especially if its your only handgun. That is a quality sidearm that you should never let go of. Go sell your xbox or plasma or some shit.

I'm usually a "don't be afraid to sell guns" guy, but in this case I'd keep it. And I sold my first gun with no regrets.
>Your only handgun
>It's a good gun
>Not made any more
>Stainless sixes are less common
>Easy to find caliber
>Not worth a ton of money
>>35063503
Also, brushed Rugers look great with a little metal polish.
>>35062518
don't bother selling it because you won't get much for it.
>>35062518
looks like they go for 5-600 dollarydoos, asking price.
>unsold
sell it to a friend or your dad or something if you really need rent money or some shit and buy it back at a later date
>>35063624
Great idea.
>>35062518
Don't ever sell a gun you like, even if you need quick money, you'll regret it later
>>35063503
>>35062518
On a similar note, I don't really like my SR9 and I'm considering selling it for around $320.
Would that be a fuckup?
>>35063989
no but yes
>you can get them used all day long for 350ish
>they aren't specifically good or popular
>they aren't going to have any kind of longterm appreciable value to mean in 20 years you won't be able to get one again used for the sameish price if you long to shoot your poorfag heater again
yet
>why are you in such desperate straits where 320 dollarydoos means fuckall
>if money is not a concern then why would you rather have 320 dollarydoos in paper versus a fucking gun in your safe
>>35063989
if you dont like a gun just sell it not every gun is a special snowflake. obviously there are exemptions like if selling that gun puts your gun count at zero dont sell it. and some guns just arent worth selling like hipoints or mav88s which are cheap enough to just keep.
>>35063989
The SR9 is one of those guns no one gives a shit about and never will. I'd sell it in a heartbeat.
>>35062518
Keep it. Good wheelguns are tough to come by. You'll miss it more than what little money you'll get for it.
get yourself a glock, and get rid of that nickel-plated sissy pistol.
>>35063392
>Let me ask you this: A guy breaks into your house, but you don't have a gun. How are you going to shoot him?
>>35063624
This. You will regret it later, at least this way you can buy it back for the same price not a lot more.
>>35062518
>6 inch Security Six
>Stainless
>Not in a gay caliber like .38 S&W
You are literally trying to sell one of the best .357 magnums ever made for, being generous, $500. Unless you're literally going to lose the roof over your head don't consider it.
>>35064700
Tommy Lee Jones please go.
>>35064716
You're just getting that from the NRA magazine
>>35064716
damn right
>>35062518
If you are going to sell it for drug money then you might as well kill yourself.
>>35062518
Because gay
>>35063529
Aside from the giant cuck stamp on the barrel, sure.
>>35064883
>You are literally trying to sell one of the best .357 magnums ever made for, being generous, $500.
Rugers aren't even like in the top 20.
