How did this piece of shit become the standard semi .22? It's more expensive than the Savage and Marlin competitors, it isn't as accurate and has a garbage trigger.

Detachable OEM magazines that don't suck dick.
>>35060133
More reliable than the competition, and good quality 10 round detatchable mags.
>>35060150
>reliable
>need to use quality hv ammo or the rifle won't cycle
Alrighty then

#1 You're a retard.
#2 Because it works.
#3 You probably don't own guns.
I went with a savage model 64 because I'm left handed. I truly love it, I just wish I could get higher capacity magazines
>>35060305
>Because it works
You realize we're talking about a 10/22 right?
>>35060140
>>35060150
Hi marketing team
10/22 mags are plastic garbage that only feed properly if venus is in alignment with saturn on an even number day
>>35060369
You're probably the same person who says AR15's are garbage.
I've had a 10/22 forever and I gotta do is make sure it has oil in it and it works.
>>35060222
You fucking serious? thunderbolt 22 works fucking great in these guns you idiot. I bet you're just jealous of people who bought a 10/22 instead of some stupid savage 64 you bought
>>35060133
The only thing you are right about is the accuracy but the average guy doesn't give half a fuck about hitting flys with a .22 at 1000 yds.
I actually prefer the tubular magazine of the model 60 for what I do with my 22. But if I wanted a detachable mag I definitely would have gone with the 10/22
>>35060133
>this thread again
>>35061059
I don't like fucking with those because of my fat fucking fingers, I end up spilling rimfire all over the place when it's cold then it's all wet and nasty and gets little rust spots (I'm always shooting in the winter for some reason)
>>35061015
Don't have a savage, I have a model 60. My brother drank the 10/22 kool aid and his is a jam-o-matic with subsonic rounds, while my Marlin runs flawlessly
Best .22 auto coming through!!
Move aside you Pony-less plebs.
>>35060133
Yeah well the AR-15 is a maintenance bitch and the glock has the ergonomics of a brick, yet here we are.
>>35061223
>AR-15 is a maintenance bitch
I've honestly never understood this. Compared to other semi auto rifles I own it is average if not better.
>the glock has the ergonomics of a brick
Again something everyone seems to say while everyone else seems to find the glock comfortable.
>>35061256
I ain't never felt comfortable without the feel of warm hardwood and cold steel in my grip, lessen it be a lady's pillowy parts.
>>35061256
>everyone seems to say while everyone else
Wat.
The truth is probably just that people have different hands.
>>35061097
>sub-sonic rounds
>said cheap ammo
You really are retarded
>>35060222
>tfw gun cycles with anything from aguila subsonics to Eley Match just fine
I know this isn't the case for every gun, but I've had a lot of trouble with all other semi-auto 22s on the market. My 10/22s are the only ones that have worked the best.
Keep in mind, I own...
>S&W M&P-15-22
>Marlin Model 60
>CZ 512, second favorite to my 10/22s
>Savage 64F, and A22. Both of these things are fucking awful when it comes to feeding
>Browning SA-22, Buckmark Carbine
>Beretta U-22 Neos Carbine
Of all these, only the 10/22 has fed flawlessly, the 512 has had two total hiccups, and the Model 60 has had a fair amount. The rest are have ranged from okay reliability to hot irredeemable dogshit.
>>35060231
>being a le ebin contrarian
>>35060385
>liking and having good experiences with a rifle that is generally well-regarded means you're a shill
Neck yourself.
>>35061015
Fuck you, i love my savage
>>35061121
No
>>35060369
The 10/22's 10 round detachable box mag ruger designed is used by other 22rifles made by other companies because it's such a reliable design. You fucking idiot.
>>35064390
That's literally not the truth. Ruger sued the one company who has tried. Nobody but Ruger uses the 10/22
>>35064554
Not that guy, but what company? Off the top of my head I can think 3 or 4 companies that make 10/22 mags.
>>35060222
Granted, I don't buy garbage ammo (CCI, federal, and Aguila if desperate), but I've never had any feeding or extracting issues with any ammo other than CCI quiet which is a given, and occasionally with subsonic unsuppressed. 10/22's run better with more ammo types than my CZ Kadet.
>>35060231
>>35060385
Between borrowing a friends tech sight 10/22 for appleseed, my own TD and RAR, I've never had an issue with the magazines. Either the 10 rounders or the bx-25's.
that feel when i bought my 10/22 for $100 on black friday 2 years ago
