The US has no shortage of fertile farmland, so we wont starve. The US has gargantuan loads of oil reserves still yet untapped because "muh protected land", The us has billions of metric tons of steel just laying around in scrap yards. The only country that can out produce us on an industrial level in terms of quantity is possibly china but that's only in terms of quantity.
