What i have on hand. taking to the streets is stupid, i load up my mags in the attic and then open up to it and start making noise so they come over and try to get at me. Any zambie trying to get to me will literally have to jump up, grab a ledge, then perform a pull up to get to me. Oh, and the hole is only big enough for one zombie at a time. As soon as i have a clear shot i shoot them in the head.

Rinse and repeat, i got enough lead for the whole neighborhood and i like my odds at this sort of virtually no risk game a lot more than i like them at trying to out run them on foot or engaging multiple targets in the open(death wish).

Once all the ones within ear shot are down i bust out one of the attic vents and climb out onto the roof and clear my immediate area.

Then i get all the canned food and other supplies up to the second floor and barricade the first half with several hundred pounds of furniture. I take the 20lb sledge to everything above that.

I think ill be alright unless the gov goes and decides the most efficient way to handle the whole zombie issue is nerve gas.

SKS. I have a couple crates of surplus Yugo ammo loaded on stripper clips. Have these big black pouches loaded with 10 stripper clips each I can put on my belt. I'll just load some water and freeze dried food into my car with a crate of ammo and fuck around in the woods until it all blows over.

Gas mask is a must regardless and some PPE wouldn't be a bad idea. If i were the government I'd probably use nerve gas(VX) to set a containment perimeter to stop the spread. Anybody without gear would die before they make it across the no mans land and anybody with PPE could be handled by CAS/drones or taken in for interrogation by mopped up troops with armored support. They also might just use HE/incendiaries to level any structures and burn the infected out to the perimeter to meet gas and pre sighted in ordinance.

As a former telecom worker, I'd hide in my attic until food/water was running out. If it looks like this thing ISN'T going to blow over, I'd take my remaining food/water, 15,000 or so rounds of 22lr, and use my gaffs to climb the nearest pole and start exploring along the power lines. Mostly looking for signs of life/supplies, so trying to be stealthy (hopefully zombies don't look up) but if cover blown I'll shoot as many zombies as possible with my S&W 617 and single shot 22 bolt gun. Too many bodies pile up? Arm over arm along the power lines to the next pole. Continue process.

Either I (1) avoid detection, find allies/food/water (2) clear the town of the undead and look around for food etc afterwards (3) die with a 15,000:1 KDR. I think my revolver should be good for at least 10,000 rounds w.no problems, and the bolt gun should be good for that many as well. I save the last couple bullets for myself, shoot myself once in the heart, and then again in the head. Last thing I'd want is to survive a flinch headshot.
