Yes britbong/ ausfag, it does work. The mag is just a makeshift brass catcher cut off at the top with the spring and such taken out. The upper ejects the brass downward, just like the P90 but through the magwell. You can still use it perfectly without any mag inserted at all. Looks weird and perverted like watching anal tho

It wasn't meant to be a pistol or rifle cartridge, it's a PDW cartridge, a doctrine that prioritizes compact, low-recoil guns that shoot through armor. Using it on unarmored people is putting little .22 pinpricks through them, though, so takes a stream to quickly incapacitate the target.
