It's not just Geissele, every batch of anodizing is different from every other batch of anodizing, even when the same process is used on the same equipment by the same people one batch after another.

It's almost never visible to the eye and USUALLY it's not visible to a camera but in some cases certain wavelengths of light reflect better off some batches of anodizing than others, particularly high intensity flash illumination. The result is a slightly purple hue.

Usually I edit it out because while it may be visible to the camera under a flash, it's not visible to my eye so the photo would then not be representative of reality. Pic related is unedited, there are lots of wildly differing black anodizing, particularly the Apex handguard and Ruger receiver.

tl;dr It's normal from any manufacturer, but it's not fun to discover a new part looks kind of purply.

Eh. Looks weird IMO. Save up for a T2. New EXPS is supposed to be good to go. PROs can always be had for sub $400 brand new when on sale.

Scalar works stuff is nice. You honestly might consider just getting a gucci mount, a tango down cover, then saving up for a T2. My PA MD ADS has over 3k rounds shot under it, and it is holding up fine. Haven't changed the battery in two years and I leave it on medium/low setting all the time.

This is where I'm at. I really do think it is dumb to SBR such a low tier lower. Their porous chalky finish and general lack attention to detail are significant and reasonable criticisms, and if you're going to invest $200 and months of wait time into a lower, it makes sense that it would be a slightly nicer one, even if that means just an Aero lower.

I SBR'd an Anderson lower. The finish is different, but functional. Guess it depends how much you care if it matches the upper. The FCG pin holes are a little big (or maybe cheapo PSA LPK pins are small) and I had to add some of those stupid KNS pins so they wouldn't walk out. If you're just throwing together a beater blaster SBR and don't care, go for it. If it's babby's first SBR or you're trying to make it nice, I guess spring an extra $50ish for something that isn't Anderson.

When I was going my first HA build I went into a Houston gun show with the intention of jewing some old fudd for a $45 out the door anderson lower. Found a good booth, and compared it side by side with a PSA that was $65. Immediately discarded the notion of saving $20 and getting the anderson because the finish and feel was that much shittier. Went to another booth that had Aero lowers for $95. Immediately discarded the notion of saving $30 because the Aero finish and feel was that much nicer than the PSA. Markings are nicer, engravings are deeper and sharper, finish is smoother, slicker, and stronger.

The spec generally is just a function of the forging right? So they should all be in spec to the same degree. Doesn't mean that you can't get a nicer lower out of the same forging.

Have an old one that's just begging to get burned up. Gonna setup a nice SBR MG setup, since my BCM upper is a lightweight profile barrel. Also gonna setup a nice 14.5" MG setup, since my only non-burner, standard length setup has a stainless precision barrel. Once the first burner finally tanks, it'll get replaced.

It's a Sandman S, I've been liking it but haven't shot it much yet since 300 is such a wallet killer.

That upper is 300, but I have another 5.56 that just needs a new handguard and the QD mount. I have a KAC rear sitting around but haven't bothered getting a front to throw on, and I really dgaf about the mount. That can is the only thing on that rifle that isn't cheap as shit.
