If you have an archery target and hit your target they don't break. If you shoot a tree they break. It's pretty simple. I lose more arrows when I sight my bow in when I buy a new one.

I don't think you need to know archery to understand you can reuse an arrow. That's like saying you don't know if you can reuse a bowling ball because you don't know enough about bowling.

Also, you're more likely to lose arrows (get trapped under the grass) than break them. I suggest getting a trap of some sort for them, fencing or something. A solid panel of wood works but have fun beating them out with a brick.

That's why I was asking. Fiber glass is far more shatter and splinter prone than carbon fiber.

Also, does you ground happen to be full of rocks something? Ignoring dirt coating, my arrows come out in good condition. If they go under usual soil, it's more a matter of "fuck where is it" than "oh fuck it is shattered."
