The FAMAS (French: Fusil d'Assaut de la Manufacture d'Armes de Saint-Étienne or "Assault Rifle from the Saint-Étienne Weapon Factory") is a bullpup-styled assault rifle designed and manufactured in France by MAS located in Saint-Étienne, which is now a member of the French government-owned Nexter group. It is being replaced as the service rifle of the French military by the HK416F. It is known by French troops as "The Bugle" due to its distinctive shape. The FAMAS is recognized for is excessively high rate of fire at 1200 rounds per minute.

tbqh Russia just did a thing first and spread it around quickly.

Every other country then did the same exact thing only way better and just kept their stuff to themselves for the main part.

But being the first DOES count for something and it's true meme status, flags and shit.
>>
>>35036799
>tbqh Russia just did a thing first and spread it around quickly.

What the fuck am I reading.
Until the commies came, Russia had no colonies and no proper arms industry, it was importing licenses or goods and definitely not selling anything anywhere.
Russia was, other than Israel, the last country to do "thing", not the first.

wtf is this shit
First one is innnacutate, where is the selector and the streaks around the barrel for rifle grenades ? This is a MAS 223 not an F1.
Second one is either airshit or photoshop.
"G2 shorty" was officially named "commando" by GIAT.
"surbased" means nothing in english, the correct translation for "surbaissé" is "low profile". Also this was a prototype.
"G2 Felin" was an early prototype, and also it isn't actually a G2 but a G1. Those were supposed to be FNH-built, had an F1 magwell and a G2 stock, the magwell is non USGI compatible anyway.
tl;dr : this is full of bullshit. And the famas sucks.

However :
>>35035199
>inaccurate
wrong
>plastic
wrong
>blowback
it worked
>bullpup
that's not the problem.
>>
>>35035199
>inaccurate
It's pretty comparable to an M4 despite being a tad inferior, anon. After all, all rifles that wear down tend to lose its accuracy, 4moa being the minimum for the US military (Wouldn't be surprised if there are worn 4moa M16s)
>plastic
The receiver is steel with a plastic shell to hold it, there's nothing wrong with lever delayed blowback just like there's nothing wrong with roller delayed blowback. First batch of brass ammo was both out of spec and a worn rifle isn't going to make it better, along with cases of bad failures being overexaggerated as the kevlar cheek pad protected the user.
>Bullpups
Bullpups are a mix bag and subjective, as there arr shit examples and great examples.

>>35038402
Russian arms have two missions - prevent a USA siege/invasion of Russia, and make it expensive for USA to invade smaller countries.
A submarine can't do the second, its too expensive, so probably the first? Not sure its worthwhile.
>>
>>35029289
Israel seems to learn from the best. The best in tank building, the best in bullpups, the best in rifles...
Some of it's weapons traits are similar to the ones you can find in Finnish rifles (ex: Galil), for instance. Another example is the Merkava, that has a lot of Brittish gear on it.

It seems like Israel will take an existing idea, put it on trial and see how it works in practice, and from there design and upgrade it further according to the need.

At the moment I heard Israel is designing a new Kalashnikov, called the AK-Alpha. If I am not mistaken, it is currently competing against the Russian two shot bursts AK (shooting 2 bullets before recoil takes effect).

I do wonder what happened to the CornerShot.

Not... like... US quiet, but they've got a year or so of being kinda quiet 'fore the russian rot sets in.
