This only applies to striker guns without safeties. Striker guns are like carrying a series 80 1911 condition zero. Do you really want a gun with a short, light trigger pull to be carried close to your body? Heavier and longer trigger pull of a double action handgun or the longer trigger pull of a LEM handgun combined with the ability to put my thumb over the hammer during holstering provides peace of mind. I know practicing can eliminate a lot of the possibility for accidents, but I try to eliminate more of the chance by carrying a gun that makes accidents less likely.

Note that just the 45 model is called the tactical, the 9 and 40 equivalents are called SDs
The tactical/sd comes with a threaded barrel, suppressor height adjustable sights, and a heavier recoil spring.

really not seeing the difference. I mean, even Kahr calls itself "trigger-cocking DAO" or somesuch, but as far as I can tell the only difference is whether the force is going through a separate hammer or through an integrated hammer/firing pin i.e. a striker.

I'm asking this seriously as someone who's considering a G26 or a p30sk LEM
>>
>>35006934
LEM is better
>>
>>35006997
whats the difference between LEM and DA/SA?
specifically, p2000 v2 and v3?

>>
>>35006839
shut up, faggot.
>>35006856
thanks.
>>
>>35007011
v2 is heavy LEM and v3 is DA/SA
LEM means the hammer will return to the down position after every shot, it's technically DAO. In DA/SA the first shot will be in double action (heavier than LEM though) and the rest of the magazine will be in single action unless you decock it. I'd get the v1 (light LEM)
>>
>>35007026
>it's technically DAO
what do you mean by "technically"?

>just found this

>P2000 V1: Innovative safety trigger with concealed cocking piece in the hammer, with a constant trigger pull (Combat Defense Action/LEM trigger of 20 Newtons) from the first shot to the last, without decocking.
concealed cocking piece in the hammer. what.
>P2000 V2: Like P2000 V1, however LEM/CDA trigger pull 7.3 pounds (32.5 Newtons).

>P2000 V3: Conventional DA/SA trigger and hammer, with decocking.

>P2000 V4: Like P2000 V1, however CDA/LEM trigger pull 6.18 pounds (27.5 Newtons).

>P2000 V5: Double Action only (DAO), trigger pull approximately 7.87 pounds (35 Newtons).

so all versions except v3 are just different weights of DAO?
>>
>>35007067
It's closer to a long single action. It has a long light take with either a light or heavy break depending on if it's v1 or v2. DAO is heavy throughout.
>>
>>35007082
huh. I kind get it, but I think I'll have to try and find a whole series to fingerfuck at once to actually figure it out
>>
>>35005696
no, he was talking about accidents. An accident is an event. negligence is not an event. You can replace "accidental" with "negligent" but you cannot replace "accident" with "negligence".

Accidents are caused by negligence, yes. But you didn't have a negligence when you pissed your pants. You don't get to redefine the words that other people use just because you got zapped by the ND/AD fairy.

hey faggot, using a holster that doesn't work is negligence

>>35007196
Nigger, let's take a look at the original statements made:

>Striker guns are like carrying a series 80 1911 condition zero
Is he talking in the area of 3lbs triggers? Pic related, some stock triggers we measured in the shop recently.

> I try to eliminate more of the chance by carrying a gun that makes accidents less likely.
We haven't established that carrying a gun with a manual safety or DA pull makes "ACCIDENTS" less likely. In fact he hasn't established what an accident is.

If your manual safety or long DA trigger pull is *ACTIVELY MAKING YOU SAFER* that is, it is or PREVENTING YOUR GUN FROM GOING OFF, then you are failing to adhere to the basic fundamental rules of firearm safety.

Yes, his context was vague, and I am talking about negligence - not "ACCIDENTS."

P2000 or P2000sk make for a much better carry gun than the USP Compact, even if the USPc two-tone is sexy af.
>>
>>35005805
P2000 has a picatinny rail instead of a custom rail (though you can get most accessories for the USP rail, anyway) and you can swap backstraps. The P30 is similar to the P2000, but with different grip design and is slightly larger. Overall, for a carry piece I would go with the P2000.
>>
>>35006856
The SD just has a threaded barrel. The Tacticals have an O-ring on the barrel. Yes, there is now a 9x19mm Tactical.

Technically it performs two actions with the trigger, but the hammer is precocked unlike say, a revolver trigger.

>>

I never felt the tradeoff for the HK45 was worth it.

Couple hundred dollars and two less rounds,

For

A picatinny rail. That's really it. I already have a light the I don't need an adapter for on my USP45, plus 20% more capacity. Plus I got the tactical version for the same price a basic HK45 goes for, giving me a threaded barrel and match trigger on top of it. I really never saw the point of the HK45.
