Spinning a revolver cylinder as a function check. It makes an almost unheard noise as it glides around the guide rod, but that noise is the best part.

I too enjoy loading magazines. It's like a calm before a storm, and it gives me a chance to relax, breathe, and resituate myself if my shooting's off. Cleaning guns after shooting is fun, too. Again, it helps me decompress and forces me to slow down and relax a little.

Shooting guns is surprisingly peaceful when you factor in all the auxiliary stuff like that. I'm sure once I start reloading I'll enjoy that too.

I rub spent casing to keep my hands busy. The brass smell rubs off onto my fingers and it's sorta invigorating.
Clicking scope turrets is fun.
I love polishing my guns' actions with a dremel and a cotton tip with polishing compound. Significantly lightening trigger pulls while making them buttery smooth is satisfying.
I like trying on different muzzle devices just for the aesthetics.

The best part for me is looking over all the proofmarks and factory engravings on guns, especially their countries of origin. It's cool to own weapons from all corners of the world.

I fuck around with snapcaps in my AR a lot and I've found that for some reason I really like the sound the make when they get ejected into my bathroom or closet and echo as they bounce around the floor.

It's autistic as fuck and I can't explain it but it makes me really want to visit a range with a shoot house, although I imagine with the amount of earpro you have to wear in those you'd never hear the casing hit the ground.
