>More stopping power than .40 Slow & Weak
>Rebated rim allows for easy conversion of 9mm handguns with just a change of the barrel and recoil spring
>Pushed out of the market by Shitty & Worse because of limpwrist pencil pushers in the FBI who can't handle a real man's caliber like 10mm or .45 and went with the first thing they tried that didn't give them a black eye
IT'S NOT FAIR
Why does this timeline have to be so god damn awful?
>More stopping power than .40 Slow & Weak
Sauce
>Rebated rim allows for easy conversion of 9mm handguns with just a change of the barrel and recoil spring
You can get a semi-reliable conversion with just a barrel change on most .40 firearms, and for 100% reliability you can go for a extractor/ejector swap.
A more significant problem is that the .41 was significantly more powerful than the 9mm, to the point of damaging guns doing a simple conversion rather that reinforcing it to handle the increased pressure. A similar phenomena was experienced when the same guns were rechambered to .40, most famously the Glocknades with Federal ammunition that used weak brass.
