I got my first handgun recently and I'm not really enjoying firing it, It's hard to aim as well, should I get a red dot before looking into getting another handgun? I have a g17.

Get something different, you bought literally the most boring, basic ass handgun available on the market.
>>34996846
Get gud scrub
No really, fucking practice.
>>34996846
Most likely you're just a worthless faggot who can't shoot for shit, but Glocks do have shitty sights from the factory. You can buy a better pair of sights and install them. It probably won't help you any because the failure is probably you and not the gun, but it's worth a try.

I never blamed the gun, I meant for me as a person it's hard to aim.
>>34996863
This desu
Most people I know take a few rounds, pay attention to your technique, grip, finger placement, but most importantly put lead downrange and pay attention.

The real Stalin is a lot more... Jewey.

I've only shot 450 or so rounds, I can hit center of mass but it just feels off to me and I don't enjoy it anymore.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice handgun? I want to get a 1911 but I don't know a lot about them and what manufacturers are good or bad and I'm not sure how to research about weapons because it seems like every site has biases that they don't admit.

Then do something more interesting. Shooting indoors at paper is the most boring fucking thing on earth. Go outside and shoot at aluminum cans or wild animals or whatever. Set up multiple targets and shoot El Presidentes and see if you can become good enough to be a bodyguard for some central american spic dictator.
>>34996905
I don't live in a place with open areas like that.
>>34996917
Well you're fucked then.
>>34996923
Thanks for trying to help me at least.

Colt, Ruger, Remington, Springfield, and Sig are all decent entry level brands. The Ruger is really good for the price. There are also super-expensive ones like Wilson or Les Baer. You won't notice the difference unless you have a high level of skill. Don't bother with Kimber or the Phillipine shit. Don't go near a Taurus autoloader.

I'm leery of the twin traps: 1. A new gun will fix my accuracy. 2. Another accessory will fix my gun.
The weak point is almost always the shooter. Generally, /k needs to spend less on accessories and more on ammo and mindful practice.

http://pistol-training.com/drills
has a ton of drills for you to practice along with standards to try to meet. Worse places to start. If nothing else try the mozambique drill, that 3rd shot will be the challenge.
>>34996846
Handguns are always boring in my opinion. I only own one because you can't really ccw a rifle.
>>34996846
>I got my first handgun recently and I kind of suck with it, should I get peripherals or a different gun to suck with?
FFS get ammo and practice, buying shit will not make you better.
>>34996846
To be honest I don't "enjoy" shooting most any handgun. I much prefer rifle shooting. I only practice with a handgun because I carry, but I wouldn't choose it when I'm trying to have fun. The only time I've ever had fun shooting a handgun was shooting a 1911.

This. I don't know why some people believe the propaganda about him.

Stalin purged most Jews from positions of power, and offered the lower Jews a semi autonomous state deep in Russia which ironically would have had the side effect of saving them from the German advance. He had no love for the Jew but had bigger things to do than pogrom them himself, easier to let disease, starvation, and the elements do it, just like the ukies.

>learn the fundamentals
>practice
>take a class
You're not going to be a fucking Hollywood deadeye. It takes learning, patience and practice. You know, work. Now stop whining like a faggot and spend more time at the range.

seriously, how would you even fire that? wouldn't it destroy your wrists after a few shots?
>>34998756
>how do you fire that
Insert handle into rectum. Got in all fours. Adjust for elevation.
>>34998756
Don't hold it like a pistol, instead hold it like a rifle without a stock.

>He can't handle a full size 9mm handgun
get better sights
>>34998260
A new gun can make things better in some cases. I don't like the trigger on my Glock, even with the 3.5lb connector on it. I'm shopping for a DA/SA or SA to get a trigger that doesn't have the Glock's (or really, any striker fired's) trigger.
>>34996846
It's definitely the gun's fault, try a grenade instead
>>35002435
It's not always a case of being able or unable to handle it.
Not OP but I'm a handgun noob and I tried a bunch of them without a lot of experience and the 9mm Glock was the one I disliked shooting the most by far.
