I don't know if you remember, but when the C39 and tRASh47 first came out they "had" to raise the price on their imported guns in order for those pieces of shit to be competitive.
Now WASRs are getting back to somewhat normal prices, and their junk is sitting at $500 plus a rebate.
Shit is so laughable, because they thought it was a good idea so they could have higher profit margins.

I do plenty of airshit and am working on a current russian army loadout, i already have a russian AKM type 2 bayonet, but i want to go as accurate as possible, plus the 6x5 just looks right on the 74M.
They are hard but not impossible (not defending the stringent gun control or anything, just being optimistic) pretty similar to what you might have in Canada. AK's in particular are fucked though, because there is a law that prohibits semiautomatic weapons in "military calibers" (it's a bit random because according to this law, 7.62x39, 5.45x39, 556 and 7.62x51 are all military calibers but 7.62x54 isn't so you can, for instance, get an SVD no problem). most you can get here is an AK with the pistol cut off and the gas port welded so it becomes a straight pull. I plan on moving in a span of 3-4 years, though, as soon as i sort all of my shit with studies and some such.
