Why do people think you need a 30-06 to hunt deer? A 243 works

There's not a deer on earth that won't die if you put a 22LR in its heart. It all comes down to shot placement and penetration.

You could fill your deer tag every year for your entire life and not even come close to burning out a barrel. They only people who even need to think about that are competitive target shooters.

Because it's a faggot round and you should be using a .260 or 6.5x55 instead. Also hunting Mule or Red with a .243 is retarded, there is good reason founded on terminal ballistics that people use large and heavy bullets on large and heavy game.
