Canyon Lake,
I'm really high up but the surrounding areas/towns catch all of our runoff. Wimberley was really devastated a few years back and a number of people near the river were killed. If I remember correctly a 30 foot wall of water basically destroyed a large area and a number of trees were all pushed down in one direction as if a tsunami went through.

There are plenty of things worth rolling the dice on but your life isn't one of them. If you live in an area that can flood get out while you can. Be safe anons.

Sugar Land here. The city spent the last year massively overhauling the drainage systems and spillways. Also based on how well we fared before all the updates with Allison, Ike, and Rita, I think I'll be fine. I beat the rush for provision but I could get more gas for the generator. It's very unlikely that there will be looters where I am but I have a few mags loaded. The worst part for me is that I left my kayak in Kentucky.

I live in Wimberley, that tourist family that got washed away, they still have never found the three kids. Dryer and stove were way up in trees on river road. Where 12 crosses the blanco, the road is about 13 feet above the water and the flood was estimated to be 15 feet above the bridge, the flood warning system washed away real fast.
