The reserves is objectively one of the best part time jobs for students, because of its unique work schedule that fits well with schooling. The physical test is all function-related. Basically you do shuttle runs, lift sandbags, drag sandbags, walk with sandbags, etc. It's PISS easy. Keep in mind that the fitness test is for ALL trades in the army, including all the soft-ass POG trades. If you're joining one of the combat arms, your training is what's going to kill you, not the fitness test. Honestly, don't even think about the fitness test, it's a joke.
