Daily reminder that the P64 is a fucking turd gun and you should never fucking buy one
>>
>>34941802
Did a P64 fuck your favorite body pillow or something?
>>
>>34941897
ITS
SHIT
>>
>>34941969
im sorry that your dad never taught you how to be a real man and pull the trigger to kys with that czak
>>
>>34941969
It's not great, but it's not shit either.
>>
>>34941802
It's okay, but there are better options.

The P-64 is the Makarov's skinnier, hotter little sister, who is also an argumentative bitch and shitty in the sack.
>>
>>34942216
No it sucks
>>
>>34941802
Look at the gun, and tell me why it's shit. It's not the best by any stretch, but tell me of it's valid deficiencies without resorting to memes cuckboy.
>>
>>34942736
Not op, but the only bad things I've ever heard about the gun are

>muh 24 lb DA trigger pull
>the ability to have the gun go off if you cock the hammer back enough and then let it go on a chambered round

I wouldn't mind having one just because I like milsurp/larping poorfag russian James bond. But, as an a carry piece I feel like it's to out dated to not be called shitty.
>>
>>34942792
The second point is ridiculous, ask yourself this. How could the Polish Comintern have allowed a pistol to be selected if it could go off after having its hammer cocked and then chambering a round? You can't pull the hammer back further than when the gun cocks anyway. Call it non-drop safe, but to say that it does not function as it should is all fuddlore.
>>
>>34942792
Why cant i carry it?
>>34942216
>better options
if they are more expensive then they dont exist
>>
>>34942931
He doesn't own one so he's only believed what he's read online through dubious characters. You can carry it anon, it is theoretically not drop safe though. This can be ameliorated in a number of ways of course.

Why even buy the P-64?

P-83 looks like it has better grips, better aesthetics, large magazine and is more modern, not to mention they're cheaper on J&G. Yet, I never see them talked about on here.

What gives?
>>
>>34943394
You make a valid case. Still a solution, albeit a shitty one.

>shit capacity
>pain in the ass to field strip
>stupid euro butt mag release
>heavy
>non-existent sights
>kind of annoying to stock makarov boolets
>not drop safe
>safety switch sticks

the only pro is that it's a gun that shoots and it's cheap, but you can get any number of polymer carry guns with better capacity, lighter, and proper ergos for the same price. and if you wanted a gun like this in 9x18 then for not much more you can get an actual makarov

>>34943633
p-83 is .380 and is bulkier, maybe you're thinking p-82 which is the same gun but in 9x18 makarov. that said, I definitely recommend a J&G p-83

>>34943667
>he actually bought the replacement rubber grips those fags on the forums started selling to mitigate the horrible recoil and hand pain from shooting the pleb-64

if you're going to carry, spend the $50 extra and get any number of polymer guns that will serve you 1000x better... or just get a mak
>>
Honestly, I bought it because I already had a Makarov, and wanted something else that shot the same caliber. One came up on armslist for 200 bucks, so I went for it, and while it is snappy, I really enjoyed the Walther style frame, and it encouraged me to go out and buy a real Walther in .32
>>
>>34943712
>kicks like a mule
True.
>murders the webbing in your hand
Yeah, helps to get better grips.
>DA trigger is still unsmooth and awkwardly shit even with the lightest spring, and the lightest spring makes the SA so light it's almost unsafe
Can't say because haven't done that yet
>shit capacity
For the size it's good.
>pain in the ass to field strip
Absolutely retarded.
>stupid euro butt mag release
Pure preference. I like it.
>heavy
To you maybe.
>non-existent sights
Do you own non-riced out 1911's?
>kind of annoying to stock makarov boolets
Sounds like a personal problem
>not drop safe
Yeah
>safety switch sticks
Clean your fucking gun
>>
>>34943759
google stiff p-64 safety, the retard pollacks at the factory thought your thumb should go sore in order for the safety to engage. everyone hates shooting the gun, I promise. the grips are plastic non-existence, and you need to replace them with molded rubber to get the gun to stop hurting you. and the trigger will never be good.

in conclusion, get the p-64 if you like to do a ton of maintenance and mods to get it up to mediocre status. what do you expect, it was the first time pollacks tried to make their own service pistol.
>>
>>34941802
they arent bad...i almost bought one.
Ended up with a latest gen DB9 and I dont regret it.
fits the compact carry gun slot better and it was a little cheaper.
the p64 is cooler though.
>>
>>34943712

>>
>>34943712
>kicks like a mule
It doesnt kick anymore than any other steel frame sub compact 9mm
>murders the webbing in your hand
Thats caused by grips not being lined up correctly
>DA trigger is still unsmooth and awkwardly shit even with the lightest spring, and the lightest spring makes the SA so light it's almost unsafe
Gun was meant to be cocked back manually for SA
>shit capacity
not for 1970
>pain in the ass to field strip
Youre retarded
>stupid euro butt mag release
okay
>heavy
its a steel handgun retard
>non-existent sights
Youre retarded
>kind of annoying to stock makarov boolets
Not really when its just as common as everything else
>not drop safe
dont drop your handgun
>safety switch sticks
Not if your gun is clean

Jurys out, youre a retard.

Lol are you me? One came up on Facebook with 3 mags, IWB holster, and half a box of ammo for $250. I was never crazy about them at first but a deal is a deal, and now I like the little gun after putting some rounds through it.

Now I want a Walther.
>>
>>34941802
I love mine
Why is it a turd gun?
>>
>>34941802
Meh, even the worst of the lot are not hard to fix.

There is a washer under the coil hammerspring, removing it drops the DA pull significantly and does not affect reliability.Put in a thinner one from Grainger /Fastenal if you're worried.

Polishing the bit of the frame where the trigger bar rides greatly improves pull, and it does not take much work. I used to do five or six an hour for a friend who was a dealer. Easy money.

They are not at all terrible, just a bit rough.
You want a real turd, buy a midwar Nagant revolver, or fuck, a CDM revolver.

Be careful with early PPK's, they are very ammo sensitive.
Tuck your supporting thumb if you're used to 1911's or other full sized autos, lest you drag the slide and induce stoppages.

Otherwise, really fucking tough to go wrong with a PP/PPK.

Oh don't forget the sweet little Walther TPH's, as well. Awesome little mouseguns.

Please remember that back in the day pistols warent really made to be carried chambered and used in DA.
Manual safety was more ment to secure weapon after you stop shooting.
It wasn't untill relatively recently, with the introduction of passive firing pin block (I hope that's how it's called in English), that chambered-carry became a normal thing. I'm old enough to remember when it was a novelty, and despite most users still preferred to carry their pistols unchambered for quite some time.

Seller&bellot, PPU, fiochi

Fiocchi is plentiful and works well. I buy it mail order 500 rounds for $115.00. I have lots of the steel cased stuff too that I shoot at outdoor ranges here, it also works well but is a lot dirtier.

How do you guys feel about the Bersa Thunder cc?
>>
>>34942792
It's also overweight, uncomfortable to shoot, in an outdated caliber, has no aftermarket support, has shitty grips, the pinky extension sucks if you have grown up hands, it has the capacity of a revolver without any of the upsides...
>>
I have the Bersa DuoTone and it shoots very well. I had one problem, lost the rear site and site screw while shooting and couldn't find it. Sent an email to bersa and they mailed me a new one no questions asked.. It's a little big for a 380 carry piece though, if I'm going that low in caliber it's because I need a real small gun and take the Ruger LCP2. I usually carry a Kahr PM9 which is smaller then the Bersa but in 9mm.

Pic related is a much better gun for the same price. J&G still had them last I checked. $250
>>
J&G also has the combo deal going on where ya get both Polocks the 64 and the 83 for $399. If ya have to buy the 64 that's probably the best way. Then ya get the better brother with it. The only 9X18 pistol I own that I like less then my P64 is the FEG PA 63. It's a pain to shoot and very unreliable to boot. Can never trust it. I can trust the 64 even if you do have to cock the hammer for the first shot because the double action pull is unbearable.

That just means it's an old gun that doesn't meet up to new gun standards. At a point in time, it met the normal standards making it not shitty.
Stuff like the new Remington pistols are examples of true shit, as they're made of new technology and materials yet fail to meet standards.
