Stopped shooting for a while; groups suffered a but what I really notice is the spread isn't linear to distance.

Their all 10 shot groups btw.
I guess what I am asking is why isn't it linear?
Probably because it has more to do with focal planes than anything else?
How do I counter not being able to focus better or is that the issue?
Should I train with different targets?
Not interested too much in tactical stuff; just want nice groups.

They're*
TFW too sleepy to be posting, sorry.

>I guess what I am asking is why isn't it linear?
git gud
>>34926643
No I mean why isn't a group that's twice as far, exactly the same just twice as big?
It isn't as simple as
Group size = x*distance
Stated otherwise, why doesn't "moa fag" mentality work?
>>34926499
This sounds dumb, but try shooting "beyond your target", similar to "punching through someone"

Looks pretty linear to me.
Also git gudder, on a good day I shoot your 10 yard groups from 27 yards. Dry fire a lot. Have someone film you at the range. Do the drill where you balance a penny on your front sight while dry firing.

Because of the short distances and because you are shooting a pistol offhand instead of a benched rifle, any variation in shooter error becomes more pronounced than mechanical accuracy.

bah, maybe you're right.

I've plateaued due to mostly to limited time and funds. Although recently I've put a red dot on a Glock and was shocked at how clearly it shows your level of suck.
I can hold a front sight steady.
I cannot hold the dot steady.
I can dry fire without visibly moving the front post or dropping a dime.
I cannot with perfect consistency dry fire without seeing the dot move.
That dot is humiliating.
