Atlantic has these UZI carbines built on Mckay receivers. Anyone know if they're worth a damn?
I want one primarily because they're cool looking.

When were MP5K clones ever under a grand?
I seem to remember them always being expensive as fuck. Were they garbage tier Century builds or something? Seems like the floor for a decent quality MP5 clone has been around $1500-2000 for the past decade or so.

Why the hell are they so expensive when a fucking G3 clone costs a couple hundred less?

I've never heard a good explanation for this honestly. Especially considering the HK series is pretty cheap to manufacture.
Damn shame to, seeing as the roller lock design is superior to plain blow back.

This has always confused me. I feel like it's just an upcharge because of special forces, counter-terrorism and action movies.

is it full auto with a 10" barrel? no? then its a useless piece of shit

It doesn't make a lot of sense though, seeing as theirs apparently a huge demand (much more so than the 7.62x51 counterpart), and they're not terribly complex to manufacture. I know damn well if PTR came out with an MP5 clone for under a grand, they'd dominate the PCC market.

I'm not going to war, I want it because it's fun. Besides SMGs are obsolete for combat rolls for the most part.

OP, I'm in the same boat as you. I would just go for it. I just started saving up for one and I'm probably not gonna be able to get in on this.
I'll probably end up buying a Vector/Group Industries or Century UC-9 build when I get enough.

Somebody always has to make some smartass "not functional" post so not that its here lets move on
Btw here's your (you)

Yeah, but I'm buying it for fun. So there isn't really a substitute for the whole "UZI" part.

Century but I don't recall hearing bad things. Since they were parts kits builds I'm sure there's some with issues.

A friend bought real uzi in the mid 80's for $550.
Its fun, but not practical if its not full auto. And its just a 9mm, the .45 Uzi looked like fun! Those Scorpions are bad ass though!
