If I had to sneaky beaky in a real combat situation, what handgun caliber would be the best to have? My initial guess is .45, since if you're going to be subsonic you might as well get the heaviest bullet you can. Is that the wrong way to think about it?

You're on the right track.
>>34924326
this is you're best calibre in sneaky breaky. anything else is too loud and no longer sneaky breaky; even with the silencer attached.
>>34924326
>sneaky beaky

Smaller bullets are quietest. I'd take a 22 or a 9mm. 22 if I'm executing niggas in their house or 9mm if I'm expecting a fight

>not looking to shoot sneaky birds
What about bows or crossbows? I assume the screaming would give you away if you didn't drop them immediately but there has to be somewhere on the human body where a crossbow bolt/arrow would silently kill someone.
>>34924326
Why use a handgun? Why not a long gun?
>>34926185
Lung shot keeps them quiet but you need the bayonet to the heart to actually kill.
>>34926185
Corssbows sound like a nailgun
>>34926267
I mean, does it really make a difference when you're going subsonic? A rifle round isn't really a rifle round at <1000 fps.

>not being sneaky beaky like

147 grain 9mm
Glock 34
Extended magazine
Trijicon RMR
>>34927874
>longer barrel for a 9mm
>only 147 grain
Please stop.

>stab dude in chest
Now you have a screaming problem that will attract a lot of attention.
>Stab dude in the throat
Now you have loud gurgling for a few seconds. Still not silent.
>accidentally take too loud of a footstep while trying to get 1 foot behind a dude
Now u dead.

I cut a deers throat once. It was far from a quiet kill. The sound of air moving in and out of a cut windpipe us actually incredibly loud

OK dwight
>>34924326
The right answer is subsonic 9mm, .45 subsonic is louder because of the larger caliber, the only advantage is that almost all ammo can be subsonic. If I had infinite funds and needed a quiet gun I'd get a custom built gas sealing .327 Magnum 8 shooter with 150 grain bullets.
>>34924353
good choice

I'd get an FNX with a Tirant can, RMR, and a good infrared light. Ran wet they are extremely quiet.
