They're a solid competitor in the double stack .45 game. I don't know how easy spare parts are to source, but it's a great gun out of the box.

Medium, they're not baby hands but they're not huge, I like bigger grips though, my Beretta 92 sometimes feels slightly too short unless I have a +2 baseplate on the mag in it

Honestly I don't want to, I never intend to buy a suppressor because I hate the ATF and paying them for cuck stamps. Even if I do want one its cheaper to just buy a threaded barrel and suppressor sights than it is to buy a Tac version, I don't like red dots on pistols either so thats a non issue

Nope. The trigger sucks. I love mine and keep it as my night stand gun and my go to if I ever want to shoot a competition, but the trigger is garbage.

My only complaint is the trigger. I really don't like it but that doesn't mean you wouldn't. Overall it's a great pistol. As an other anon said, a USP would be a good second choice. Either way can't go wrong

FNX is fine, but I'd go for a CZ-97, EAA Witness, or Jericho if I wanted a Browning cam DA/SA .45 - all are cheaper and nicer guns.

It's worse than a basic Glock, but not by much. Also a pound lighter I think. Unfortunately though it's not really fixable. I still highly recommend the gun though.

plus OP said its a fun gun, so mag capacity should be fairly irrelevant. While 7-8 rounds vs 15-16 is a huge difference in a defensive situation, at the range it doesn't matter because you're shooting 100s anyway. gonna have to load every round manually no matter what. mag capacity just changes the chunk size/rate of loading(positive or negative depending on preference) and how much money you spend per magdump (positive)

that being said, if I could get a fnx in this state i would already have one. I don't have a 1911 (I do have a p2000 and it is quite alright). It's a shame they dont have it in .45, because i can't get hk45's either and USP isn't ambidextrous.
