What does /k/ like to refer to this cartridge as? Nine, 9mm, 9x19, Luger, Parabellum, NATO, some combination of these, or something else?
9mm Luger or 9x19. I have a European friend who has a PPQ in .380, but he refers to it as 9x17 or 9mm Kurz, so usually I go by 9-by dimensions.

fawty.

9mm.
Anything else is 9mm (insert name here)
I own a CZ-82, and the pedantic bullshittery surrounding 9mm cartridges because of assholes who like 9mm Makarov and Largo and Bergmann and Steyr is ducking pathetic (I'm very specifically looking at you, fellow Makfags, for dragging literally every 9mm Cartridge ever made into this argument)

Lol 9mm.
Parabellum. Deus vult.
>>34917668
you mean ppk?

Nope, Bosnian who managed to buy an import PPQ cause it was the closest he can get to owning a Walther P99.

Shitposting. But. One idiot friend of mine who I never took to the range again and am not friends with anymore managed to run some 9mm through my 40S&W SP2022.
It actually went ok. Cases bulged but otherwise cycled. I was super pissed but gun was fine.
Is 9mm Glisenti compatible with 9mm Parabellum mechanically? Its lower power but its dimensions seem to be identical.

9mm in general, 9mm Parabellum if theres some chance of getting mixed up with similar cartridges.
9x19 tends to increase the chance getting wires crossed, even with people that know what I'm talking about.

9mm, sometimes 9x19 if that happens to be relevant to the conversation.
Nine by nineteen if there is any consequence for misunderstanding. Nine mil or millimeter otherwise or if the caliber was established earlier in the conversation.
