When I try to hold my glock in the "thumbs forward grip" i get pain in my left wrist from the way it's angled. Not just while I'm doing it but afterwards too. it just feels super unnatural for me to twist my wrist that way.
What should I do.
1)ease up on the angle
2)switch to an old school crossed thumbs grip and deal with having shittier groupings as a result
3)go see a doctor to see if I have carpal tunnel*
4)switch to a gun with a non retarded grip angle.
*I don't get wrist pains like that in anything else except maybe playing guitar without warming up. I don't get tingling or numbness either so I don't think I have carpal tunnel itself, but I probably did fuck up my wrist somehow from being in a touring band for almost 10 years.
Bump.
Another option is getting pic related.
It would be cheaper than buying another gun and I've gotten really used to the trigger on my glock (installed an NY1 trigger and 3.5 connector, fucking love it) and it has been 100% reliable so far, so I don't know how gung ho I am about changing up my carry piece altogether.

try different shooting grips
try renting different guns
maybe too much recoil problem ? how much do you shoot etc
computer geeks get hand problems (i know) no matter how they hold their hands when typing just because they are typing 40-50 hrs/week
>>34914071
why is your dominant hand thumb on top of your support hand instead of under it?
>>34914071
thats not really thumbs forward. Try gripping higher.
>>34914071
You're canting your wrist, you shouldn't be doing so with a thumbs forward grip it's okay to have your palm face upward, and fingers wrap around your other hand with a little bit of an upward angle, this way your wrist will be straight .

Thumbs forward is for tacticool faggots. Pic related

I don't think it's a recoil problem. I don't get much recoil from my Glock 19. I don't remember any wrist pain when renting a .357 at the range a month ago either. I only shoot twice a month, but I try to do 15 minutes of dry practice at least 3 times a week, and I can get wrist pain doing that as well.

This is part of it. I'm always on the computer, both at work and at home.
Because I don't have a thrid hand to take a pic, have this representation of the angles and postions of my thumbs.

Here have a bad picture

OP this will apply to anything, that whatever new thing it is you're doing it will be awkward and uncomfortable. Unless it is very painful then just keep doing it until you get used to it. Your body is not accustomed to it but after a while it will be

Try doing hand and wrist stretches every day. Sounds like you have mobility issues.
>>34915176
nah i think hes actually holding the gun wrong.
take a picture of your one handed grip.
Find a grip that's comfortable. It really doesn't matter that much.
Experiment to see what's comfortable. I had the same problem as well but i canted my support hand less and the pain went away.

there is your problem, too much hand moving & using
try some hand strenthening exercises, i used to do lots of squeezies at work
reduce the computer time, reduce the trigger time, or pay the price
good luck

4. Sounds like too much perfection in your grip angle.

Perform this relaxation exercise vigorously for a few days and you will be right as rain.
Glock is perfection, you are the problem bud.

>Glock is perfect

Don't do this

Feels good, man

Jesus, look at the angle your wrist is at. And is that a compact? That's too small for that kind of grip.
1) straighten your left wrist.
2) align both thumbs so they're touching. left below the right.
3) bring your ring and pinky fingers under the magazine
That means you're doing it right. It's not supposed to be comfortable.

Stop masturbating so much and that pain in your wrist should go away.
