Fuck it buy a hi point
>>
>>34911144
Czech replicas, probably.

Modern milsurp is select fire and therefore not sellable due to our shitty government which happens to still be better than everywhere else. So its just a pool of classics that gets thinner and thinner.

Go to CMP and get a poor condition M1 Garand.
>>
>>34911144
Nope. Milsurp is no longer poorfaggotry
>>
there is one yugo sks for $320 none of you have bought yet
https://www.centerfiresystems.com/p-9769-yugo-zastava-m5966a1-sks-762x39-rifle-in-good-condition-with-cracked-stock.aspx

there are still some handguns being imported, but everything else is dried up. we've already bought the vast majority of the worlds excess bolt action and semi automatic rifles. everything else is automatic so no surp for you.

No. Budget milsurp is long gone for the time being.

But really, I'm a $30k/year poorfag and even I can piece together a reliable AR for $400 and splurge on an old Aimpoint for $250. You buy it one piece at a time then the sting hurts less.

You can also use sportsmansguide or buds for layaway plans. With sportsmansguide 4-pay you get the rifle after the first payment.

Or, you can go the ultra poorfag route and buy obscure Saturday night specials and .38's
>>
>>34911218
Don't bully the Yugo.
Yu can go fuck yourself.
>>
>>34911337
everywhere, garage sales, auctions, flea markets, antique shows, online, i used to get $80 turk mausers from tapco when they still did retail. but the times they hav'a changed.
>>

>obscure milsurp Saturday nights
Such as....

The quickest thing that comes to mine for cheap milsurp is a Nahant revolver
Those can be $200 on a good day
>>
>>34911144
Buy an old sporter with the barrel and other key metal bits intact (this is important on M1917s). Later on you can change the wood out and add the proper bands and whatnot.
>>
Yugofied K98s are like 300 bucks bro

This. I just picked up a sporterized Czech Mauser for 150 bucks. All the metal bits are in great condition, i just need to get a new stock for it.

BUY ME A NAGANT REVOLVER IF YOU'RE SO GREAT
>>
Fuck
>>
>>34911144
Sauce on that image, boss.

Also, Makarovs and trolling GunBroker for SKS/Nuggets. Though less so on nuggets now that ammo is getting more expensive.

DO NOT buy a "gunsmith special" rifle. What "gunsmith special" means is that the rifle is broken, and the people selling it are basically offering it to gunsmiths to be stripped for usable parts. If you buy one, you'll end up either spending so much money to fix it that you might as well have bought a working rifle instead, or you'll end up hurting yourself when it blows up in your face after you try some amateur repairs on it.
>>
Milsurp isn't for poorfags anymore. Even if you did manage to buy a milsurp gun relatively cheap, surplus ammo is drying up fast, meaning that within a couple of years you'll be stuck paying a dollar or more per round for uncommon calibers that few companies make anymore. It's not just purchase price that matters, it's total cost of ownership - there's no point in buying a gun that you can't afford to shoot regularly unless you're a hardcore collector who just likes owning a historical artifact.

If you're a poorfag, you'll be way better off buying a $400 AR or, if you're a superpoorfag, a $200 Maverick 88.
>>
>>34913952

Ammo prices have always been Milsurp's achilles heel. Ammo is cheap as long as it's being imported. Once it's gone, you have to rely on jacked up prices from botique sellers. Eventually, you're going to find that the total price of that "cheap" Nugget is actually going to be higher than if you bought a new in box rifle from a reputable manufacturer, like Ruger.

Spanish Mauser are cheap I think?

>>
>>34911175
Service grade garands are in good condition and less than $1000. They're a bargain too.

>>
>>34914865
Not really. I mean, you could always luck out on something used at a pawn shop or a gun show, but unless you go with something like a single-shot Hatfield, you won't find anything so much cheaper than a Mav or Stevens 320 that the difference in price will be worth the difference in capability and quality.
>>
milsurp faggot retards kys these guns need to be turned into scrap

get something modern, the world has moved on

what's the availability, and pricing like for repro Mauser stocks... there are a lot of sporterized Mausers of various origins, and I'd like to get one and rehab it to proper form.
>>
>>34916816
Wrong
>>
>>34911144

Not for you.

People like me that have FFLs can get cheap as dirt SKSes by the box, but we'd be insane to sell them for less than MSRP. You can get a crate of 8 SKSes for at or less than $100/rifle but I'm still selling those puppies at $350 a pop.

Is 30k really poorfag status? I figured it was just mediocre status.

What state are you in anon? Cost of living here is really low, so maybe I'll be a bit better off?

Or you could just, you know, take it to a gunsmith and have him fix one thing on it. Jesus, learn to not be a goy.

This.
>>
>>34911144
Spanish mauser. Reloading is mandatory tho

yeah the one thing that manages to cost more than the initial gun cost
>>
>>34917870
>>34917886
Again, OP was looking for poorfag guns. By the time you pay a gunsmith for his time and for whatever parts he needs to order, you'll almost certainly find you would have been better off just buying a gun that worked correctly right out of the box.
>>
>>34917887
>Telling someone who asked for good options for poorfags to invest hundreds of dollars in a reloading rig.
