Yep you killed a couple insugents, but the woman and her three kids were killed as well. After you get back to the FOB, you're ordered to turn over your weapon.
You get handcuffed, and MP's arrive to escort you to the rear.
You get there, and are told to shower and clean your uniform.
You shit, shower, and shave while two MP' s watch, and then get to talk to CID.
They try to accuse you of murder, of using unecessary force.
After all this, you're finally get acquitted and get back to the FOB.
Where your friend once slept, it's empty, a plywood board where your friend was, you couldn't even pack up his shit, he's just GONE. Like he never existed.

It's not my place to question every order, surely the army would collapse if this was the case for all soldiers. It's not just Britain, it's a movement amongst the militaries of most anglosphere nations, alongside the movement for ''gender equality''. In Australia some bases have ceased hiring men temporarily in an attempt to recruit more women and make the gender ratio of troops more ''equal and inclusive''. I personally think this flies completely in the face of meritocracy and traditional and functioning roles of gender groups in society informed by biology.

I don't recall Nelson needing 50% of his sailors as women and transgenders at Trafalgar, or Wellington at Assaye and Waterloo. Still, these are transitory fads, and they won't affect my urge to join the military.

I want a war, begrudgingly, because I have come to realize that America (and by extension most of Canada) has been in a state of wartime so much longer than it has been in peacetime that North Americans have been groomed to fight. "Fight oppression", "fight fascism", "fight the enemy", "fight the good fight", "fight for freedom", etc.

North Americans will fight. It's all they know. Without a common enemy to fight, they'll turn on each other. We're already seeing it with the 'race relations' conflicts, gender wars, and social victim olympics. Making a scapegoat of anyone with white skin instead of noticing that the real privilege and snobbiness comes from the upper class, of any race/gender. There's always some kind of 'enemy' that needs to be searched out, dragged through town, and publicly executed. Hell, real, useful shit barely even gets the o.k to get done around here unless it's to give N.A. an economic/defensive/technological advantage in the face of wartime competition.

So we need another war. We need a "bad guy". One that is at least 'badder' than the enemy the U.S. people have made of their own president. It's looking like Kim Jong Un might be stepping up to the plate with his threats of potentially nuclear bombardment, but with the U.S. president ready to retaliate (or at least claiming to be), I fear a World War may be biting off a little more than we can chew.
