Have you seen some of the abuse primary arms red dots have taken and still worked not to mention there battery life? Quality is definitely improving.
>>
>>34908983
Real gems right now are the prism scopes offered by various companies.
>>
>>34908968
I must say I was amazed it held up that well. Considering getting one to slap on a cheap build I have laying around and see how long it lasts.
>>
>>34908968
My 3x-9x no name chinkshit scope came with my bolt action gun. the gun was shitcanned with a spring upgrade because screws were literally lead glued in. I got the scope for essentially $120 from that POS but it is stable to be thrashed around and the sighting is adjusted by 1/4 of an inch. I don't know why anyone would buy $800+ scopes with essentially the same function.

This was 6 years ago.

Can anyone recommend me a cheap optic like that that actually works? Probably like a red dot or something, I know nothing about optics but I want something for pretty short ranges.

It would go on a Hipoint 995TS.

Bushnell TRS-25.

This thing is, I shit you not, the best kept secret in chinkshit optics. There are youtube videos where people beat the shit out of them and they hold up just fine. I'm not gonna call it an Aimpoint or anything, but it's definitely in the "good enough" category. I've put one on almost every AR I've ever owned and had no problems.

I use a TRS-25 on my 10/22.. It's just fine. Not expecting a lot of recoil from a .22 LR rifle. I've tested the red dot on my Ruger Mini-14, but had some problems with the zero being messed up after 100-120 rounds.

It might have something to do with the Mini-14 being more "violent" in how it cycles.. I don't know.

The TRS-25 is great, though.

Ive had quite a few different optics over the years. Some ive bought and some I was given. I try not to shill Primary Arns but damn their optics are nice. I own a MD-ADS and a 3x prism of theirs. To compare Ive also owned a PK-AS a Russian dot and a POSP. Not skme surplus ones either, new ones I bought from Kalinka Optics. Hands down the PA optics are better in every way. Their more durable, clearer, priced better and are far more accurate and user friendly than anything coming out of Belarus.

Im unable to compare it to things liek an ACOG or T1/T2 directly as I dont own them. And I probably wont because in my opinion the optics I have will serve their purpose as required.

I, for one, welcome the chinese competition.
This way, maybe our stuck-up jews would finally stop demanding a leg and liver for their shitty red-dots and ACOGs.
>>
>>34908968
I can vouch for my 125$ chinese acog w/ RMR
only used it on my ar15 so like no recoil.
optic looks clear and has held its zero .
hopefully it brings the price of the acogs to where they should be (~500$)
>>
>>34909055
That's their Elcan clone IIRC
>>
>>34908968
No. They don't have the long term durability to match good scopes. You might not notice it when all you do is fire one or two mags at some cans twice a month, but prolonged use WILL cause them to fail.
>>
>>34908983
For anything less than precision long range I love Primary Arms. They're even here in Houston so I can order and then pick it up at their warehouse
>>
>>34911391
Just like RMR Trijicons that fail so badly they had to make a second generation?
>>
>>34911438
The RMR was never designed to be used as a slide-mounted optic. It was supposed to be a backup sight for rifles.
>>
>>34910027
Some of the more recent Amazon reviews aren't so good. Maybe quality has dropped?
>>
Does anyone have experience with Monstrum optics? Specifically the marksman 3x30 prism scope? Thinking of picking up the Monstrum or a PA 2.5x prism with the acss reticle

There's a massive amount of Chinese made shit that is acceptable all around us, why would an optic manufactured post 2010 from China be any different?

They replicate items with good proficiency, this is no surprise.

The Chinese ACOGs are fine for the money. Funny thing is, Trijicon filed a cease and desist order years ago when NcStar announced it was making an ACOG clone. They settled it out of of court, but Chinese factories started making them anyway and they're obviously still around. I own one myself and they're actually not bad. The fit and finish is probably better than a real one (no random weld marks everywhere) and the fibre optic actually works. The optical clarity on the real one is of course a lot better and you don't get tritium inserts in the clones. I doubt the BDC reticle on the clones is actually made to spec either. That said, if you can get past the shit 1.5" eye relief, it's perfectly usable.

So far I've had these optics from Primary Arms: 2.5x prism, 5x prism, two 1-4 w/ illuminated dot, 2 micro dots and a 4-16x. Some have been sold or traded with guns. Got rid of the dots after I found out what astigmatism was. None have failed in any way. The 5x is on my PTR-91 and took another beating today.

I have a Leupold on my Rem 700 300 wm and kind of wish I had the 4-16 on it.

>you now realize that the jews were lying to you

China is your friend. Their cheap goods have improved our living standards tremendously. So are their fun-parts.
>>
>Chinese Optics
>Not even once

Chinese optics are fucking trash and I would never trust one for anything other than being a fucking paper weight. I don't care how great it is has held up during your annual trip to the range or doing gay airshit. Scopes are precision instruments that have to have tight tolerances and repeatability...definitely not something Chinese goods are known for. They can reverse engineer something all fucking day, just because you know how something is made doesn't mean you can replicate it. There are plenty of well priced optics that are made by reputable manufactures in countries that aren't fucking shit holes.
>>
>>34914600
>better living through inferior products
you need to go outside and light yourself on fire immediately
>>
>>34913313
fine threads are self-locking. so is a lock washer. if it was engineered properly in the fist place, you would not have had to add loctite to it. have fun getting that off when you need to. should have used blue.
>>
>>34914626
See your PC before you?

You wouldnt be able to afford that without China.
>>
>>34914610
They literally use the same machines as anyone else.
>>
>>34913410
Is the 4-16 the HUD scope? I was thinking of getting that one for a PA10 build I just started.
>>
recoil effects on optics are misunderstood. g force is one thing but the period of time the optic is exposed is a completely different thing.
>>
>>34909364
got it on my ar because im a poorfag. it works pretty well for the price
>>
>>34914610

>>
>>34914610
So NC Star produces the same quality glass as Schott and the same quality internals as Schmidt and Bender? I am assuming they are as skilled at assembly as well. You know, since they all use the same machines.

>>34914951
No, I just know better than to waste money on junk. A lesson learned the hard way, buy once cry once. Why spend 300 bucks on a Chinese scope with a bunch of tacticool features that you'll never use and questionable quality at best...when you can get a quality Japanese, American, or Philippines manufactured scope for the same price?

Could be, there also could be some lemons getting through. QC is still probably kind of hit-or-miss, but if it breaks you're only out $20 and Amazon will usually send you a replacement for free if something happens. I mounted one of those fieldsport micro dots on an AK and it fell apart after 30 rounds. The free replacement they sent me held up to AK rapid fire just fine.

Yeah but those components go through some form of minimum QA requirement that meets the industry standard. I can't vouch for all Chinese made optics but I would bet they very hit or miss due to no standardization of QA levels.

Problem with buying chink is that quality control is terrible.

You can get a decent product when Chong at the factory didn't butcher the assembly. But then bad luck, you purchase one from when Ping clocked in and turns out the optics is shit, can't hold zero and you wasted $100.
>>
>>34913313
I have a $40 GDI QD acog mount and it's the perfect replacement.
>>
>>34917278
Right, because everything is certain to be equally on par with all products on the market. Go buy a Chinese car if you believe they truly create everything on par with all products with high degree of quality control.
>>
>>34917278
Not all electronic components from China are on par with other Chinese companies. Apple only source from their trusted source, ASUS the same, and so forth. If you think any no name mass manufacture just equally creates the same quality as each other, you are sorely mistaken.
>>
>>34915708
If there weren't so many unfavorable reviews within the past 6 months I'd probably try it, except I'm not gonna gamble on another cheap-o chink red dot. I did on one and it didn't survive 100 rounds through my .300 blk pistol. Gonna roll with a PA now.
>>
>>34914626
well friend, not everyone can afford top of the line of everything needed in life.

I do recognise that there is something wrong about cheap china products, but that situation will slowly produce both a better effort from chinese companies and a better pricing effort from USA/EU brands also.

And to be honest, i don't expect that our "home" companies don't try their best to cut expenses using china products and then brand their stuff as "proudly made in ____".

I do believe there is also a huge butthurt about chinese products being bought directly over the internet, my guess is that in the late 80s up to the 2000s they made a feast of cheap rebranded china shit
>>
