Fucking this. The Marines are under the Department of the Navy, they cry about not getting enough funding (so cut some fat off), and stop pretending like you're some elite fighting force (few and proud) when you aren't specialised at all anymore.

Maybe if the marine corps had an actual fail rate and only let some of the recruits pass and made the marine corps smaller they could return to the towering pride and discipline ideal.
